During the Three Kingdoms period, China had two brilliant and intelligent "Kongming". One is Zhuge Liang, the famous prime minister of Shu and Han, and the other is Zhao Hu, a little-known hermit of Wei.
Zhao Hu, born in Yingchuan (now Yuzhou City, Henan Province), was born in 16 1 and died in 250. He was 20 years older than Zhu Geliang, and died 16 years later at the age of 89. Zhao Hu lived in seclusion in the mountains for a long time and never worked as an official. There are not many records about his activities, but judging from the scattered written records in some historical materials and classics, Zhao Hu's talent and wisdom are by no means under Zhuge Liang.
Zhao Hu's youth was a period when the imperial court was corrupt and consorts and eunuchs were in power alternately. He studied the history of Confucian classics since he was a child, and he was knowledgeable, especially proficient in classical history and calligraphy. In the year of weak crown, he was praised by the world for his peerless talent. He hated his official career, and in order to avoid endless visits to the county (this was one of the methods of selecting officials in the Eastern Han Dynasty, that is, local officials sought "talent" and were promoted), he lived in Jizhou and became fascinated with literature and history calligraphy.
In the first year of Xianping in the Eastern Han Dynasty (A.D. 190), the powerful minister was in charge of the government, and the Han family declined. In order to win the territorial dispute and expand their influence, various governors have recruited talents. Yuan Shao, who is known as "the home of four generations and three fairs, and his disciples are all over the world", heard that Zhao Hu was a famous man in Yingchuan, with great talent and great strategy. He condescended to visit many times and invited Zhao Hu to come out of the mountain to help him conquer the world. But because he hated the sinister official career, he refused to give up on Yuan Shaozhi's invitation. Through several contacts with Yuan Shao, Zhao Hu saw Yuan Shao's jealousy of talents. He fled Jizhou quietly, just in case something happened. Sure enough, a few days later, Yuan Shao ordered the arrest of Zhao Hu, but Zhao Hu was already hiding in the mountains like a wild crane in the clouds.
In the first year of Jian 'an (196), after Cao Cao welcomed Xian Di to move to Xuchang, and issued the decree of "meritocracy", a large number of people with lofty ideals in Yingchuan took refuge in Cao Cao. Cao Cao, who was thirsty for talents, learned that Zhao Hu was a rare talent and sent people to invite Zhao Hu to be an official for many times. However, Zhao Hu doesn't want to be an official. "I can't afford it." Later, Cao Cao took the trouble to invite again, and things were helpless. Zhao Hu had to see Cao Cao. As Chen Hu is a rural migrant worker, he is used to the rural life of plowing and chopping wood. He is an official, not for our generation. He never obeys. I hope the Prime Minister will forgive him and let him live in the mountains. Cao Cao saw that Zhao Hu's attitude was firm and it was difficult to retain him, so he had to lament that "everyone has his own ideas, but his origins are different" and let Zhao Hu go back to his hometown. Later, in order to avoid the endless call of heroes from all walks of life, Zhao Hu simply moved to Luhun Mountain (now the northeast of Song County, Henan Province).
At that time, Deer Soul Mountain, where Zhao Hu lived, stretched for 300 miles, and many poor people worked at sunrise and stopped at sunset. Due to the diaspora, their children have no chance to study. Among these residents, there are often fights over trivial matters. Seeing this situation, Zhao Hu opened a school to teach them to read and write, and let them understand some simple truths. At the same time, the residents in the mountains were persuaded and resolved by reason, and the struggle between these residents was quickly quelled. Because of Zhao Hu's high hopes and education in all directions, the 300-mile mountains and rivers where he lived gradually eliminated the bad phenomena such as aggression and struggle.
Zhao Hu opened a school in Deer Soul Mountain, which is well-known. Many aristocratic children came to study. Among these people, the most famous is Sima Yi of Cao Wei. Sima Yi is the son of a noble family in wen county, Henan. When he heard that Zhao Hu, a famous Yang Zhai scholar, had opened a school in Luhun Mountain, he went to study. Hu has a good eye for people. It can be seen that Sima Yi is intelligent and smart, with extraordinary intelligence and broad mind. He is convinced that this man will achieve something in the future, so he will try his best to preach and teach. Because Sima Yi was born in a noble family, was extremely clever, lived in the world, and was of course arrogant, so he made enemies with Lv Hun Zhou Sheng. When he learned that Zhao Hu had left the school hall, Zhou Sheng gathered more than 20 companions to assassinate Sima Yi. When Zhao Hu heard about it, he immediately went after Zhou Sheng. After all the hardships, Zhou Sheng and his party finally stopped between the hills and ponds. After his mediation, Zhou Sheng gave up his intention to seek revenge. Zhao Hu played an important role in Sima Yi's narrow escape.
Zhao Hu moved from Luhun Mountain to Yiyang (now Yiyang County, Henan Province) during the reign of King Cao Fang (240-249). Wei's courtiers often wrote letters asking to be summoned as officials, but politely refused. In the second year of Jiaping (250), Cao Fang, the Wei Emperor, once again sent Zhao Hu, a coach, to Korea. When he heard that Zhao Hu died this year, he gave up.
Zhao Hu lived in seclusion all his life. Unlike Zhuge Liang, he made a vigorous career in politics and military affairs and became famous all over the world. However, Zhao Hu is committed to running schools and teaching villages. In calligraphy, Zhao Hu learned from Liu Desheng, bringing forth the old and bringing forth the new, and developed the running script to a new height. So it is as famous as Zhong You, another calligrapher in the Three Kingdoms period. "The bell is small, but Hu Jiahao lets it go", which is also called ""by the world. Zhao Hu's running script calligraphy was widely admired by the literati at that time, so that "faithful traces, moving to see the model" became an example for people to learn and copy.
Looking at the above historical facts, we can see that although Zhao Hu and Zhu Gekongming have their own merits due to different circumstances, they are both worthy of being a generation of talents and praised by a generation.
