How to Reflect on Calligraphy Teaching in Primary Schools

Reflections on calligraphy teaching in primary schools? Calligraphy, it can cultivate people's temperament and give people beautiful enjoyment. Learning calligraphy is not accomplished overnight, but it takes a long time to practice hard to gain something. The ancients said: "The calligrapher's metaphysics is also." Therefore, it is even more difficult for these primary school students who have hardly touched calligraphy before or have just touched it, to be interested in calligraphy, to understand it and to make progress in their studies. I think the difficulties are mainly reflected in:

First, lack of interest: the real interest in calligraphy does not come out of thin air, but will gradually emerge after a period of calligraphy practice and understanding of the basic theory of calligraphy. Calligraphy learning often starts with the simplest basic strokes, which is very boring, boring and hard. But learning calligraphy must go through this temporary study, just like a baby learning to walk, it is the simplest and most important to learn to stand up first. Because many students are strict with the basic brushwork, some students even give up, or find excuses to take frequent leave, and hand in their homework casually or not at all, and they are defeated in the first stage of learning calligraphy.

2. Old habits die hard: Many primary school students have virtually formed their own set of writing characteristics in writing, posture and seriousness. Some students have not received standardized writing education and have bad writing habits. As the saying goes, "habit becomes nature", once a bad habit is formed, it is difficult to correct it. For example, when some students are studying rubbings, under the teacher's advice, when they just start practicing, their posture is still standardized. But after a while, all the problems came out. Some students take the brush as a hard pen when they are not paying attention, or lie on their desks ... It is very difficult for primary school students who have just come into contact with calligraphy to correct these bad habits.

Third, lack of concentration, unwilling to suffer hardships: learning calligraphy, like being a classmate, requires sincerity, rigor, seriousness and meticulousness, and cannot be sloppy. We must take any tiny stroke or action seriously. However, for students who like to talk, lose concentration during practice and have irregular postures, when it is necessary to correct these bad habits, some people are unwilling to work hard, just open the tablet and write casually, and even some students scribble without opening it. This kind of learning effect is definitely not good.

Fourth, pupils with insufficient observation often have such situations in the process of learning: they don't read posts before writing, they don't read posts carefully when writing, some read and write in strokes, and some even simply copy words. He saw only one word, but turned a blind eye to the strokes and structure. This is caused by observation without initiative. This learning method will get twice the result with half the effort. In the long run, students will lose confidence in calligraphy learning and interest in calligraphy.

Based on the above main difficulties in calligraphy teaching, combined with the "five steps and six movements" teaching mode in our school, my countermeasures are as follows:

First, stimulate interest: Cheng Yi, an educator in China, said, "If you don't find it interesting, you won't study happily." . Interest is the best teacher. In the teaching process of primary school students' calligraphy art, stimulating interest is the most important thing. Because of the age characteristics of students, our teaching objectives cannot be set too high. We should aim at students' long-term development, cultivate students' interest in learning books and let them enjoy it. So, how can we teachers cultivate students' interest and make them feel fun? I think we can try it in the following links:

1, the class is wonderful, and students are often told some popular, vivid and interesting stories in the middle of calligraphy teaching. For example, the story of calligrapher's diligent study and practice, and the significance of learning calligraphy. Although some students don't fully understand it, they can know that calligraphy can cultivate a beautiful mind and give people beautiful enjoyment. Learning calligraphy well will bring great convenience and fun to your future study, life and work. At the same time, insert some theoretical knowledge and so on, so that students can learn knowledge unconsciously in a relaxed and happy atmosphere.

2. Influenced by the environment, copy and enlarge the learned inscriptions in the calligraphy teaching environment, and create a strong classical atmosphere of calligraphy. Properly display students' excellent works or exercises to increase students' self-confidence and pride. Post some competition notices to encourage students to take an active part.

3, harmonious relationship, make friends with students, not condescending, let students learn from each other in pairs, * * * has made progress.

4. Hold exhibitions, arrange small series exhibitions such as copying exhibitions and creative exhibitions for students, and give timely praise to those who have achieved excellent results in learning books.

5. Organize activities frequently, and organize students to participate in competitions, because students are particularly interested in training before the competition.

Second, cultivate self-learning ability: the ancients said, "It is better to teach people to fish than to teach them to fish." Any study starts from bit by bit, and every little makes a mickle. This is especially true when learning calligraphy. Therefore, in calligraphy teaching, we should not seek more quickly, but less and better. Only when students get into the habit of posting posts every day and study persistently can they achieve something in the future. You can't learn calligraphy well by fishing for three days and drying the net for two days. In the end, you can only give up halfway. At the same time, teachers should try their best to help students overcome their eagerness and complacency, and get rid of the psychology of quick success. Because these bad habits are obstacles in the process of learning books. In addition, because there are many examples of calligraphy, you should learn more from others when you study. However, in the process of posting, students should not be fickle. If a post is not learned well, they will change to another copybook, so they can only learn one post and throw another, and finally they will not learn anything well. In teaching, teachers should adhere to the teaching methods of selecting posts, reading posts, issuing papers, requiring students to persevere and integrating professional posts, so that students can master the correct learning methods and ensure that students do not take detours in the process of learning books. This can continuously improve students' posting ability and self-study ability.

Third, cultivate aesthetic ability: the aesthetic characteristics of calligraphy are mainly reflected in the change of form. Calligraphy is changing in stippling, structure and composition. If you lose variety and sameness, you will lose the beauty of calligraphy. Such as the rhythm changes in music, are actually similar. Calligraphy teaching should not only let students know the beauty of shapes and changes of points and lines, but also let students understand the rhythm and rhythmic beauty of points and lines in writing dynamics.
