Couplet to Tian Zi Aisinggioro Michelle Ye

Aisingiorro Michelle Ye, year number Kangxi, temple name Qing Shengzu. He began to study at the age of five, and worked hard all his life, including learning from teachers, hundreds of schools, mathematics, Buddhism and Taoism. During his sixty-one years in power, he worked hard, loved the people and made outstanding achievements. Such as: further improving the imperial examination system and offering subjects of erudition and poetry; Organize the compilation of ancient and modern books, complete Tang poetry, Pei Fu, Kangxi dictionary, etc. Pacify the San Francisco rebellion, recover Taiwan Province Province, expel Russian invaders, and safeguard the peaceful reunification and territorial integrity of the motherland. During his reign, the society was stable, the people were able to recuperate, and the economy and culture developed well.

Kangxi is not only outstanding in political talent and profound in knowledge, but also good at poetry and calligraphy.

The court couplets he wrote are elegant and heavy, with strong China culture. As its title suggests, the couplets of the Forbidden City:

The imperial map is in spring, and the sky is nine liters;

The emperor's seat is high near the North Pole, and the stars of Green Zi Yuan are at the end of the arch.

The Forbidden City was originally called the Fengtian Hall, and later renamed the Hall of Supreme Harmony, which is also known as the "Golden Throne Hall". It is used to hold various grand ceremonies, such as the emperor's accession to the throne, the wedding, the conferment of the queen, the entrance examination for new scholars, and the appointment for war. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, twenty-four emperors held ceremonies here. The Forbidden City is the highest-ranking palace in the Forbidden City.

This couplet is rich in words, spring is blooming, the rising sun is transpiration, and the purple wall is high, which is consistent with the taste of the Forbidden City. The royal drive and the throne are high above, overlooking the world and close to the North Pole, and the words reveal loftiness and majesty. In addition, Lianzhong also skillfully used the Analects of Confucius to "govern the country by virtue, such as Beichen." The code of "living in one's place, the stars and the moon" implies the Confucian idea of "ruling the country by virtue". The All-China Federation is elegant and solemn, and it is a big deal. Similar to the dry cleaners, there are questions:

The emperor's seat is nine high, and it is also purple in the battle of Zhoujiang;

In the Millennium, Yao Tianshun rose in Qingyang.

Gan Qing Gate is the main gate of the Forbidden City. It is an important channel connecting the palace and foreign dynasties. In the Qing Dynasty, it was also a place to handle government affairs, so couplets were also extremely dignified and elegant. There is another topic: recruiting people:

The wind blows in the south;

The east wall is covered with rosy clouds.

Zhaoren Hall is a place where the emperor sleeps and is happy day and night. Hosts refer to the pillars made of jade, and also refer to the harp. Nanxun is a song "South Wind" written by Yu Shun according to legend, which contains the sentence "South Wind can solve the worries of our people". The couplets are gentle, fresh and bright, which is in line with the place where the emperor sleeps and lives. Another example is its nourishing lent union:

The mind is only biased towards you now;

Poetry is here to add peace and tranquility.

Yangxingzhai was founded in the Ming Dynasty, and it is called Lezhai. It was renamed today in the Qing Dynasty. Upstairs, there is a plaque in the middle of Kangxi's imperial pen "Flying Dragon in the Sky". There is a plaque hanging in the middle of the downstairs, and the couplets and the words "Lian", "You", "Jing" and "Cheng" repeatedly emphasize the theme of "nurturing nature". This couplet resembles Kangxi himself, because "Kangxi" in Mongolian means Enkh A Mu Amg Ahan, which means "peace and tranquility". At the same time, he is also an "open-minded person, who not only adopts a generous attitude in politics, but also adopts a generous attitude in learning" (Liang Qichao's words). Really like a person. Another example is the theme of Jingyang Palace couplets:

Praise the pepper flowers, and the pool water is getting warmer;

There are cypress leaves floating, and the branches have been sunny for thousands of years.

Jingyang Palace is the residence of concubines in Ming Dynasty. In the 25th year of Kangxi (1686), it was converted into a library. Zanthoxylum bungeanum is a precious spice with many seeds, which symbolizes the prosperity of future generations. Cypress trees are evergreen, and there are mountains and rivers that last forever. The whole association is lyrical, which is intended to be out of the scene and intriguing.

The temple couplets inscribed by Kangxi are also permeated with rich Buddhist and Taoist thoughts. As its name suggests, Beijing City God Temple Alliance:

Ensure the prosperity of the works and repair the Millennium canon of cowpea;

The country is important, and the world spirit worships God.

Chenghuang Temple is a temple dedicated to Huang Chengshen. City God is the guardian god of folk and Taoist beliefs.

The "important place" in Lianzhong highlights Beijing's core position in politics, economy and culture, and "meritorious service" and "admiration" show the great merits of the city god in protecting the city and the people. The sentence "Ling Wei Wan Guo" seems to have "Historical Records of Le Shu", "Ling Wei was sent abroad, and he was involved in quicksand." The shadow. Another example is its title Yangzhou Tianning Temple Alliance:

Zhu Xi is stationed in the auspicious wheel, and the three motorcycles are combined;

Leave the online merchants in the southeast, and the two are true.

Tianning Temple in Yangzhou was built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, ranking first among the ancient temples in Yangzhou in Qing Dynasty. According to legend, it is the villa of Xie An, a teacher in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Later, Xie donated this villa as a temple for the use of Nepalese monks. Putuoluo translated 60 volumes of Huayan Sutra here, so this building is called Huayan Pavilion, also known as the Tibetan Scripture Building. In addition, there is the Wen Hui Pavilion (also known as Imperial Bookstore) located in Tianning Temple, which was once famous all over the world for its collection of ancient and modern books, Sikuquanshu and many other ancient and modern books. In addition, famous poems and Pei Fu in Tang Dynasty were also published in Tianning Temple, from which we can see the profound cultural origin of Tianning Temple.

Lianzhong not only pointed out the story of foreign Buddhists coming here to translate books in history, but also "purity", "samadhi" and "two truths" are all important words in Buddhist scriptures, which shows that the author knows Buddhism well. Another example is the title Beijing Jietai Temple Alliance:

Zen is like a mirror, leaving a bright moon;

Song Yun is like a spring breeze.

This couplet is hung in the Hall of the Great Hero in Jietai Temple, with a plaque of "Prajnaparamita without a license". Another topic is Beijing Nanhongmen Nangong Buddhist Association:

Great freedom is due to the highest;

Wonderful observation, wisdom and truth.

This couplet adopts the rhythm of 322. "Great freedom" and "wonderful view" broke the routine of "two words but festival" in poetry, which was naturally smooth. Hanging in Zheng Ancestral Hall (now Memorial Hall) in Nan 'an, Fujian;

Four towns have more than two hearts, two islands are teachers, and they dare to compete for half of the southeast;

The king has no land, and when he confronts his ambition, he knows that there are lonely loyalties overseas.

Zheng Chenggong's ancestral home is Nan 'an, Quanzhou, Fujian. /kloc-0 died in June, 662, and was originally buried in Taiwan Province province. 1699, his grandson wrote to Kangxi asking to be buried with his ancestors. Kangxi not only allowed playing, but also sent elegiac couplets. It is worth mentioning that Zheng Chenggong has always been the main commander of the anti-Qing dynasty. Later, he was defeated by the Qing soldiers and retreated to Taiwan Province Province. Why did Kangxi praise such a staunch opponent of the Manchu regime? He admired Zheng Chenggong's "loyalty and righteousness", of course, in order to maintain his feudal rule, but it also embodied Kangxi's basic idea of governing the country by Confucianism and his broad mind beyond narrow national concepts.

From the above simple analysis, we can see that Kangxi Emperor's couplets have the following characteristics: from the formal point of view, the syntax of their couplets is changeable, the first, second and third sentences are skillfully used, and the rhythm in the sentences is smart and slow; In terms of content, it is appropriate and accurate to people, things and places; In its combined vocabulary system, there is a rich China culture, and poetry, calligraphy, Confucianism and Taoism are radiant and elegant. Really worthy of being a generation of literary and romantic emperors.
