Robinson Crusoe is the masterpiece of Defoe, a famous British writer. This novel is based on the true experience of a Scottish sailor on a desert island. Robinson, the hero, yearned for sailing since he was a child, and went to sea for business many times as an adult. On a voyage, the ship was hit by a hurricane, and Robinson was trapped on a desert island in South America. On the island, he built houses, planted food and fruits, domesticated wild animals, made pottery and tools, and built a home for himself, completely changing the miserable fate of being naked and hungry. He also rescued a man from the savage's butcher's knife as his servant. Twenty-eight years later, he helped a big ship that landed on the island to quell the rebellion and returned to his hometown on this ship. He made huge profits from plantations in Brazil, and he became a rich man.
