During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, the King Temple was burned down by the Japanese army, and the Kuomintang's party, government and military organs in seven counties in eastern Anhui were exiled to Guhe, and the Seven Counties Committee in eastern Anhui was established in the former site of Guhe Middle School. Dawangmiao was changed to Guhe Primary School and Wandong Newspaper Office. After the founding of New China, Dawangmiao was also used as a grain depot, a farmers' normal school, a power plant, and a warehouse for production materials of district supply and marketing cooperatives.
After many vicissitudes of life and wind and rain, the Dawang Temple has been unrecognizable and devastated, and there are no cultural relics in the temple.
1978, after the return of the party's religious policy, Master Orchard, the host of Langya Temple in Liu Xi Village, Guhe Town, never forgot his hometown, and set aside special funds from the 200,000 yuan donated by the Hong Kong sage for the restoration and reconstruction of Guhe Dawang Temple. After hearing the news, the faithful men and women in Guhe Town also spontaneously funded the construction of six flat tile houses for several Buddha statues such as Sakyamuni. 1993, the party Committee and government of Guhe Town complied with public opinion and decided to rebuild Guhe Dawang Temple. Led by the United Front Work Department of the town, the preparatory committee for the reconstruction of Dawang Temple was set up, and the orchard owner named it Fawang Temple. 1August 995 13 broke ground and was completed in February 1996. Liu Zishan, a famous calligrapher, wrote a plaque for the Heroes Temple. The ridge height 1 1 m, the span 1 1.5 m, the eaves height 6 m, and the bay width 4 m. There are five halls with carved beams and painted buildings and cornices. The Youlong-style walls around the halls are elegant and antique, which is an antique building with rich ancient temple characteristics. Now it is an open temple approved by the people's government of Quanjiao County.
The Zen master currently presides over the Great Fawang Temple. His predecessor, an old monk Hongyuan, was born in Lujiang County, Anhui Province, at 1936. His ancestors believed in Buddhism, and he was able to write good books since he was a child, but he was always proud of the spring breeze. 1982 became a monk in Datiantai Temple in Jiuhuashan and devoted himself to Buddhism. 1994, Old Monks Rende, Miao 'an and Sheng Hui of Jiuhua Mountain sat down with round tools; 1999, Master Hui Qing recommended him to be the host of the Great King Temple. After entering the temple, there were only a few houses in the temple, which were dilapidated, so Master Shi Hongyuan devoted himself to the restoration and reconstruction of the temple. His own couplets are all exquisite. In the same year, the east-west material building was built; In July 2002, five yellow glazed tile Tianwang halls with cornices and cornices were built, with a total cost of 6.5438+0.5 million yuan. During the period, through the matchmaking of Master Hongyuan, Master Shang Hui Xia Qing, the current abbot of Jiuhuashan, presented three giant buddhas, and Master Shang Hong Xia Xue, the host of Tiantai Temple in Jiuhuashan, sponsored RMB 20,000. The expanded Wang Dafa Temple covers an area of 8 acres. At present, there are buildings in the temple, such as the Heavenly King Hall, the East-West Hall, the Dizang Hall, the Guanyin Hall, the Buddha-chanting Building, the mountain gate, the French-French logistics communication office, the Guo Memorial Hall, the poetry and painting exhibition hall, the Zhaitang and so on, with total assets of more than 3.6 million yuan. The market of Fawang Temple, with Fawang Temple as the main body, covers an area of about 26,700 square meters. Looking back at the "Crescent River" in Dunhuang on the ancient Silk Road, it almost disappeared, and the Crescent River in front of the South Tianwang Temple of Wang Dafa Temple, also known as Tianhu Lake, is really an excellent holy place to study classics and cultivate the mind. People of insight in the ancient river sincerely hope that developers at home and abroad will come here to develop the Buddhist and Zen Dojo, make a life amusement park, make a big commercial article, expand the unique natural landscape of the "Crescent River" of the ancient Chuhe River, build the Crescent River Park, and build a nine-curved covered bridge to connect the river pavilions on the east and west sides. Crescent River has built-in cruise ships for tourists to cruise and relax. There are parking lots and bell and drum towers in front of the main mountain at the southern end of Bodhi Bridge across the Crescent River, and a nine-curved wide bridge connecting pavilions on the east and west sides of the Crescent River-there is an outdoor pharmacist tower in the east and an outdoor giant Buddha in the west. After the overall project is completed, it will be a humanistic landscape integrating Buddhism, commerce and amusement.
