Cultivate students’ interest in learning couplets

The language of the motherland is a rich spiritual treasure house, and the couplets are the dazzling pearls in this spiritual treasure house. In the process of Chinese language learning, through learning couplets, children can understand the richness and breadth of Chinese culture, absorb the wisdom of national culture, and cultivate a love for the language and characters of the motherland, thereby improving their language skills and increasing their cultural heritage. How to stimulate students' interest in learning couplets and mobilize students' enthusiasm for learning couplets has become a question that I have been thinking about. After many classroom practices and after-class summaries and reflections, I realized that to solve this problem, we must first shorten the distance between students and the learning content in life, thereby eliminating students’ fear of the unfamiliar learning field of couplets. and fear. I mainly start from the following aspects in teaching:

1. Use songs, music, etc. to stimulate students' interest in learning couplets

Children naturally like to hum songs, and so do pop music. Their favorite, and the couplets themselves have a very ups and downs rhythm when read aloud. I asked the students to try to match the couplets with different contents and emotions to music according to their own understanding. Some students found songs that expressed similar emotions and sang them to ready-made tunes; some students found a suitable piece of music and recited it to a soundtrack; some students improvised and revised it repeatedly until they were satisfied.

In this way, children learn easily and happily. The originally distant couplets were brought closer to the students, and their interest in learning the couplets also increased significantly.

2. Cooperate with calligraphy and painting to arouse students' interest in learning couplets

Some couplets use words to show beautiful pictures, such as "The peach red contains the rain and the willow green." "More morning smoke", "Thousands of lotus flowers three feet away from the water, a bright moon half a pavilion in the wind", I asked the students to use a paintbrush to draw the pictures in their minds.

There are several children in our class who are learning calligraphy, and other students are envious of their good calligraphy. Through multimedia, I used slides to display many couplets written in calligraphy by famous artists, bright red banners, ink marks with various postures, and exquisite background patterns, creating a beautiful visual effect. In the eyes of the children full of surprise and admiration, I promptly displayed the couplets written by several students in the class who had studied calligraphy, and encouraged each student to create their own works. What I didn't expect was that this class aroused the enthusiasm of the whole class to learn and write couplets. In the following days, many children brought me couplets written with brush calligraphy or hard-pen calligraphy for me to see. Some children even Ingeniously, he added pictures to the hard-pen calligraphy works. In their excited and proud eyes, and in their young and serious handwriting, I saw the children's great enthusiasm for learning.
