In recent ten years, our school has been awarded the titles of "National Modern Educational Technology Experimental School", "National Computer Education Experimental School" and "Beijing Science and Technology Education Demonstration School" successively by the Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipality. The school has an influential "Beijing Jinfan Youth Broadcasting National Orchestra" at home and abroad, and the branch of "Beijing Jinfan Painting and Calligraphy Institute" is also built in this school.
The characteristic education of computer, physical education, music and art is the brand of the school. In 1994, Beijing No.19 Middle School was identified as the first ten experimental schools of computer education and teaching in China by the National Computer Education Research Center for Primary and Secondary Schools, and was approved by the State Education Commission as the first experimental school of modern educational technology in China in 1997.
