Xingshu is a general term for calligraphy, which is divided into two types: Xingkai and Xingcao. It is a font between regular script and cursive script. It was created to make up for the slow writing speed of regular script and the difficulty of legibility of cursive script.
Xingshu is a font developed on the basis of regular script. Therefore, the writing style is roughly the same as regular script, except that the starting and closing, lifting, turning, galloping, etc. are richer and more varied.
The basic strokes of running script can be summarized as follows: dots are mostly written with the edge of the paper exposed, using flat sides instead of flat, using simple strokes instead of complicated dots, and using hooks, picks, and strings. Strengthen the echo between the points and the painting, and use circular turns instead of square folds.
