Introduction to Hard Pen Calligraphy and Skills of Writing Practice

The technology is as follows:

1, you must practice regular script first, and then practice other fonts such as running script to a certain extent.

2. To choose an explanatory copybook, first practice writing radicals for a fixed period of time, usually several months, and then practice writing whole words without radicals and whole words of each radical for at least one year. Generally, write the whole word within 16 strokes first.

Remember that words with too few strokes (less than 3 strokes) and too many strokes (17 strokes or more) are difficult to write. Practice simplified Chinese characters first, then practice traditional Chinese characters.

3. Use a hardcover book (it is best to hide water with a pen) and draw vertical lines with your own pencil. The writing size should be 1.2- 1.5 cm. You can't practice writing if you are too young, and you can't write well from the beginning if you are too old.

4, practice writing posture must be correct.

5. Use a pen (advantage: pen peak, forcing you not to write typos and lost words) or a pencil (advantage: typos, lost words and poorly written words can be corrected if found). Practice writing, don't write in block letters with ballpoint pens and signature pens (1, no pen tip; 2. Oil (water) is too fast; 3, it is easy to write faster and faster.

6. Hold the pen correctly. The thumb and forefinger should be aligned, about 2.5 cm away from the pen tip.

7. Write 50-60 words a day (those who are patient can practice writing more words, but keep a certain number every day). It's best not to write more, less or not at first. Every time you write a word, you should first carefully look at how the words on the copybook are written completely.

Don't write backwards, don't read stroke by stroke. After reading the copybook, write down a word independently, then compare it with the copybook to find faults, and then look at the next word, which is not fast. In addition, if you feel that you can't write well, you must practice writing more until you feel satisfied.

After practicing for a period of time (generally not less than one month), you can rest for a few days. Look at the copybook these days, look at the words you have practiced, and see how calligraphers write. Only by comparison can we know our own shortcomings.
