I have always liked calligraphy for many years.
These years have been intermittent. Although I am not as persistent as some people, I am devoted to class every day, but I have not completely given up. I know I'm not talented enough, but I'm lazy enough to dream of being a calligrapher.
In retrospect, my interest in writing was completely fooled by a praise from the primary school principal.
At that time, it seems that there was no such term as calligraphy. Maybe, but I haven't heard of it. I just heard how beautiful the handwriting is.
At that time, there were no copybooks to write, and the only way was to imitate people who wrote well or doodle at will, so the progress was very slow. Learning at this stage is purely graffiti, which is a so-called free body. Although people have always said that writing is good, it seems nothing now.
Because I didn't learn regular script well, when I became a teacher, my blackboard writing was often questioned by students, which made me very embarrassed. I feel good about myself, but I was picked by the child. I couldn't stand this, so I made up my mind to study regular script well. So I bought some copybooks, subscribed to China Pen Calligraphy magazine, and began to post formally. Write more with hard pen and touch less with soft pen.
In fact, I am not a diligent person, and I am not persistent enough in practicing calligraphy. Coupled with the poor conditions at home at that time, I had to be busy with housework and several acres of responsibility fields every day besides going to work, so I didn't have much time and mood to practice calligraphy, so the progress was still very slow. In addition, I was obsessed with mahjong for a while, and practicing calligraphy became an amateur.
It was not until 2000 that we saw some progress. The competition began to win prizes, and some works were published in magazines.
Later, forced by life, I quit my job as a substitute teacher and began to run around, and practicing calligraphy became a luxury. Until 20 10 was hired as a calligraphy teacher by the town primary school, life was relatively stable and calligraphy practice was relatively more.
Looking back on my years of studying calligraphy, with the deepening of my understanding of calligraphy, I feel that calligraphy is too difficult! Stumbling for decades, I don't know 1%, and I haven't even touched its fur.
Calligrapher Cui Zhiqiang once said that calligraphy is the most difficult art to learn in the world, and I quite agree with this statement.
Simply put, calligraphy is writing, but writing is not necessarily calligraphy. It seems that many people can pull a few strokes when they pick up a writing brush. Some even claim to be calligraphers and masters of calligraphy, and hang up many consultants of this association and professors of that college. It's just that the old lady sells melons. If you really pull them out and write a few strokes, you don't have to say anything more.
Anyway, my feeling is that calligraphy is not fun and I can't play well.
