His prose, poetry, ci and fu are all successful, and he is good at calligraphy and painting. He is a generalist in the history of literature and art, and an outstanding figure in prose and verse.
Su Shi's prose is the last year of Song Sijia (Liu Han and Ou Su) in Tang Dynasty. It is called "Su Hai in Han Dynasty" with Han Yu, the founder of the ancient prose movement in Tang Dynasty, and "Ou Su" with Ouyang Xiu. Su Xun, the father, and Su Zhe, the younger brother, are collectively called "Three Sus", and they are the eight masters in Tang and Song Dynasties. Su Shi's poems are called "Su Huang" with Huang Tingjian and "Sulu" with Lu You. His "Poetry into Ci" was the first "bold" school of Ci, which revived the splendid Quincy style since the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties. Later generations and Xin Qiji in the Southern Song Dynasty were also called "Su Xin". Su Shi pretended to be bold and unrestrained, but in fact he was clear. His poems are also quite famous, the most famous of which is "Red Cliff Poem" written before and after his relegation.
In the Song Dynasty, his thesis proposition was often examined in scientific research, so the scholars at that time said, "Su Wensheng is ripe, eating mutton Su Wensheng and chewing vegetable soup." In terms of art, calligraphy ranks first among the four great calligraphers in the Northern Song Dynasty (Song Sijia): Su, Huang, Mi and Cai. His paintings initiated Huzhou School. It occupies an important position in the history of painting literature.
Extended data:
style
Wang Yang's writing style is wanton and easy to understand. He once said to himself, "It is roughly like running water. It is uncertain at first, but when you do what you do, you will often stop where you can't stop.". Although you laugh and scold, you can recite it in the book. " His poems are fresh and vigorous, and he is good at using exaggerated metaphors. It is full of light and outstanding from generation to generation. Since there is an article, the cover is also rare. At that time, scholars such as Huang Tingjian, Chao, Qin Guan and others were unknown. They treat them like friends and never give themselves to the teacher.
Huangzhou Ci is a wonderful work of Su Ci. Huangzhouwen is the peak of Suwen; Fu on the Red Wall is his masterpiece. Huang Tingjian once criticized Su Shi, saying: "Dongpo's articles are wonderful in the world, but their shortcomings are easy to scold, so we should not lightly attack their traces." Chen said, "Edgar Allan Poe is generous and sickly, and it can be seen in his poems that there is a tendency to satirize the present." Chen Shidao said: "Su Shi began to learn from Liu Yuxi, so he complained a lot and should not learn carelessly."
Poetic style
Su Shi's poems and Huang Tingjian are both called "Su Huang". There are about 2,700 existing poems, with a wide range of contents and diverse styles, mainly bold and unconstrained. The poems that have the greatest influence on later generations are also poems that express life feelings and praise natural scenery, showing the characteristics of emphasizing reason and interest and being talkative in Song poetry. Drinking Chu Qingyu on the Lake describes the beauty of the West Lake: "The water is bright and sunny, and the mountains are empty and rainy. Compared with West Lake and West Lake, it is always appropriate to make up for it. "
In March of the fourth year of Yuanfeng, Dongpo wrote a poem about Huangzhou cold food. This post is a two-sentence, five-character ancient style, with gloomy and vigorous poems, low sighs and great appeal. His calligraphy is eclectic, with excellent glyph layout and composition, which is quite a legacy of the right army, but his brushwork is sloppy and has a great influence in the history of calligraphy. At the end of the 20th century, it was even known as the "third running script in the world" after Preface to Lanting and My Nephew Playing Shu.
Huang Tingjian wrote an inscription after this post: "Dongpo's poems are like Li Taibai, lest they be too white. This book was written by Yan, Yang and Li Xitai. It is not necessarily the same as this book if Dongpo wants it back. Speaking of Dongpo or seeing this book, Ying Xiao Wo is honored where there is no Buddha. " Zhu bian's "Old News of Qu Yan": "After Dongpo's article arrived in Huangzhou, people were unparalleled, and only Huang Lu could argue; When crossing the sea in his later years, Lu Zhi fell behind. "
White said that poetry is immortal, and the ancient style is unparalleled; Du Fu's poems are sanctified, and the seven words of extension jade; Dongpo comes out late, and each body can be. If there is no topic, it will be better than poetry.
Ci style
There are more than 340 songs, such as Nian Nu Jiao, Nostalgia at Red Cliff, Water Turning around, When is the Moon, Dingfengbo and so on, which are widely read.
Su Shi expanded the content of his ci, and lyrical scenery, reasoning and nostalgia, feelings and other themes were all beyond his ci. Su Shi improved the artistic conception of Ci, expanded and developed the realm of Ci, and improved the style. In addition to bold words, there are also ethereal and elegant, ethereal and meaningful, and even charming works.
Su Shi's ci style is bold and unconstrained (Wang Guowei said "Dongpo's ci is broad-minded"), and his ci is full of poetry, vigorous brushwork and distinctive personality, which shows the author's broad-minded and bright personality, full of lofty sentiments, high spirits, unrestrained feelings and rich and strange imagination.
In genre and melody, Su Shi doesn't like cutting melody, and the literary life of ci is more important than the life of music. Su Ci works are often well organized, and the content of the words, or the reason, time and place of writing the words, are clearly stated and the facts are clear.
According to legend, when Su Shi was a bachelor of Hanlin, he asked Corporal Mu, "What is my handwriting like Liu Qi?" Corporal Curtain replied: "Liu Langzhong's words are only girls of seventeen or eighteen, holding red fangs and singing' Xiao Feng's waning moon in Yang Liuan'. The bachelor's degree must be a big shot in Kansai, singing' the river that never returns' with a copper pipa and a shovel. " Su Shi's ci style is classified as "bold school", so it is very different from Zhou Dunyi's "metrical school". Xin Qiji, a famous poet in the Southern Song Dynasty, is also an uninhibited poet. Later generations called Su Dongpo and Xin Qiji "Su Xin".
