Xinxiang City Museum is located at No.697 Renmin East Road, Hongqi District, Xinxiang City, Henan Province. It was formerly known as Yuanpingyuan Provincial Museum. It is a comprehensive local history museum with collection, research and education. The museum has a rich collection of cultural relics with high value, most of which are unearthed and handed down from ancient times in more than 5 counties and cities in the south of North China Plain under the jurisdiction of Yuanpingyuan Province, including ceramics and other types.
Xinxiang Museum, with the design concept of "the light of China", "historical rings" and "Taihang Mountain potential", has three floors, and is one of the top ten landmark buildings in Xinxiang. The first floor is the warehouse, technical room and equipment and electrical room, the second and third floors are the exhibition hall and office room, and the Xinxiang Museum exhibition area is divided into basic exhibition and special exhibition.
The basic exhibition is Mu Ye Huazhang, which focuses on historical development and shows the long history and splendid civilization of Mu Ye. Special exhibitions include Xuantong pastel eight-treasure dish and two-hole jade bend fish. Xuantong pastel eight-treasure dish is a cultural relic of the Qing Dynasty, which is well-made and beautifully patterned, and can be called a masterpiece of the official kiln in the late Qing Dynasty. Two-hole jade bend fish is a cultural relic of the Shang Dynasty and is the jade quality of Hetian white jade.
