Analysis:

Cao Quanbei is one of the famous Han steles. Since it was unearthed in the early years of Wanli in Ming Dynasty, it has been highly praised by the book circle. Qing Wan Jing's evaluation of this monument is: "Beautiful and flying, not tied, not rushing, but also fascinating"; Sun Chengze in the Qing Dynasty said: "Calligraphy is beautiful and elegant, and the front and back complement each other with the' ritual monument', which is the treasure of the Han Dynasty stone relief"; The Qing Dynasty said: "This tablet is no different from Yiying, but its ups and downs are the same as those of Han Dynasty. It is a key for calligraphers of past dynasties to connect the stone drum, bypass it and open the calligraphy of Wei, Qi, Zhou, Sui, Europe and Chu.

Judging from the artistic features, Cao Quanbei's calligraphy is beautiful and his posture is open. It is a typical example of Han Li's elegant and beautiful road to maturity, with both Fiona Fang and round pen. Because of this, the plaque has not only been adopted by many calligraphers, but also become a model for calligraphy lovers who like to show off all the way.

How to learn this monument? Many articles have discussed brushwork before: the method of writing and the method of composition, which is self-evident here. However, it should be pointed out that if you study any tablet, you must first have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the tablet. Just like contact with people, we should not only look at the appearance, but also understand the internal and related things such as personality, temperament, education and life, so as to have a comprehensive and correct grasp of a person. In fact, nothing can be completely consistent in the expression of "external" and "internal", such as "external rigidity and internal softness", and some may be "external softness and internal rigidity". Treat "Cao Quanbei"

In this kind of "duplicity" plaque, we should pay more attention to "vigilance", otherwise, it is easy to mistake the plaque for "outward show"

The heart is soft and falls into the "vulgar eye." We believe that in understanding, in addition to emphasizing techniques, we should also pay attention to the following aspects;

1. Cao Quanbei is more than just a show. Speaking of monuments, the impression seems to be "gorgeous", and some are in the past.

Book critics once called this monument "the beauty of words", but it was ridiculed that it lacked simplicity and grandeur. In fact, this is the biggest misunderstanding of the monument.

In this regard, Mr. Qi Gong particularly enlarged the monument. As a result, people found that his "emphasis on stippling" was far above the so-called magnificent Confucius Temple monument (see the manuscript). As far as the completion time is concerned, the monument was built in the second year (A.D. 185), which is almost the same as many Han monuments with different styles, such as the third year (A.D. 186). On the one hand, it fully shows that the aesthetic connotation of calligraphy art in Han Dynasty is extensive and the artistic style is rich and varied. But from another point of view, it is not difficult to find that the calligraphy art of Han Dynasty is based on the simple and strong overall artistic style. As Cao Quanbei in this period, it should not "jump out" of the times and become a "standout" outside Taoyuan, and its spiritual essence will undoubtedly be branded with the times. Therefore, when we interpret Cao Quanbei before the study, we should not only see her superficial beauty, but also see her inner "simplicity" and "richness" spirit of the times.

2. Master the correct posting method and avoid "putting on a show". Realistic copying of calligraphy actually does not lie in the so-called "similarity", nor even in the "accuracy" or "accuracy" of words in form. If that's all, we can completely enlarge meaningful words through modern scientific and technological means, and then achieve the goal of "image" completely through auxiliary means such as "imitation" writing, which is just a kind of "superficial article". If so, we will "copy" it and make a mistake between its essential meaning and the fundamental purpose to be achieved. The key to the so-called "copying" is to discover and master the technical skills of writing inscriptions with a pen from the "linear" and "linear" inscriptions, especially to pay attention to the movement process of the pen on the paper, to understand the spiritual temperament and cultural connotation of the inscriptions, and to extract the things with regularity in the techniques for our use. In this sense, the "image" of paste is not an end, but the essence lies in exploring and mastering the correct method of harmony between pen and tablet. As long as the method is right, it is natural to make it "like": it is reasonable to make it "not like". But at this time, "elephant" and "unlike" are my masters. Listen to me. Even if you don't like it, you are afraid. But this kind of "unlike" and not mastering the brushwork of the tablet are like writing, which should be two different things. If you blindly pursue the superficial "image", you will be led by the nose, which is called passivity. If we try to "decorate China" according to our intention, we will inevitably bring Cao Quanbei's temporary study into a cliche.
