Text/A Dai Byrd. Lcanus

Zeng Guofan was born in 18 1 1, Hunan province. He was a politician, strategist, philosopher, writer and calligrapher in China in the late Qing Dynasty, and was the founder and commander-in-chief of Xiang Army.

Hong Xiuquan was born in 18 14, Lu Guan Village, Xinhua Town, Huaxian County, Guangdong Province (now Huadu District, Guangzhou). 185 1 year, Hong Xiuquan launched the jintian uprising to establish the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom.

Zeng Guofan's Hanlin Jinshi VS Hong Xiuquan's last Jinshi: He started to form the Xiang Army in his hometown in Hunan in 1853, fought against the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Army led by Hong Xiuquan in 12, and broke ground in Beijing in 1864. Half a month before the city broke, Hong Xiuquan died of illness.

The scholar rebelled for more than ten years, sweeping the southeast, causing untold suffering; Jinshi is a very important person to reorganize the army, practice martial arts and rebuild Zhongxing. The imperial examination decided the fate of scholars at that time. After the capital Tianjing was established, Hong Xiuquan advocated banning the Four Books and Five Classics. On the contrary, illiterate Yang stood up and strongly opposed it, forcing Hong Xiuquan to make concessions in the name of "Father". The latter had to agree that the four books could be published and circulated after five revisions, but it was not published until the demise of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom.

In addition, Zeng Guofan, who ascended the throne at the age of 28, was promoted by Zhang Mu and appreciated by Daoguang. In ten years, he moved seven times, even rose ten levels, and became a second-class official of the court. 1February, 854, they and Xiang Zeng Guofan published "Begging for Guangdong Bandits", claiming that the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement was "poisoning all beings" and "citing China's ethical code for thousands of years, once it was swept away. This is not only a strange change in the Qing dynasty, but also a strange change in Ming religion since the opening of the port. Confucius and Mencius cried in Jiuquan ",and then called on" anyone who can read and write can sit still ",standing at the commanding heights of morality, wooing scholars all over the world and laying a solid foundation for the victory of counterinsurgency in the future.
