(1938-) from Xining, Qinghai. I like painting since I was a child. I first graduated from the Mathematics Department of Qinghai Normal University, and 1962 graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Beijing Institute of Art, majoring in Chinese painting. I have worked in Art editor for a long time. He is good at figures, landscapes, flowers and birds, and integrates Qinghai Plateau customs into his paintings. His works are simple and dignified, magnificent, full of plateau characteristics and the atmosphere of the times. Worked in the Department of Culture and Education of Qinghai Province for mass cultural work. Committed to the research of art theory and published many papers in art magazines. He is also good at printmaking and calligraphy. His main works include Spring Letter on the Grassland, Morning Songs on the Grassland, Spring in the Snowy Kunlun, Heart Melody, Pastoral Reading, Hiking Map, Alpine Ranch and so on. He is currently a member of China Artists Association, China Printmakers Association, vice chairman of Qinghai Artists Association, director of Qinghai Calligraphers Association, vice chairman of Qinghai Painting and Calligraphy Research Association, president of Qinghai Chinese Painting Research Association, editor-in-chief of Qinghai Daily, and an expert enjoying special allowance from the State Council.
