From: It is said that Zhang Sengyou (yóu) of the Liang Dynasty painted four dragons on the wall of Anle Temple in Jinling. They did not light their eyes and would fly away if they nodded. The people who heard it didn't believe it, so they told him to light it. As soon as two were lit, thunder and lightning broke out, shattering the wall, and two dragons flew up to the sky on the clouds, leaving only two without dotted eyes (see "Famous Paintings of the Past" by Zhang Yanyuan of the Tang Dynasty).
