One of my favorite aphorisms

My favorite famous saying is: an inch of time is worth an inch of gold, and an inch of gold can't buy an inch of time. Warn people to cherish time, which is gone forever.

The creation background of "An inch of time and an inch of gold, an inch of gold can't buy an inch of time" is: Bai's feelings about time when he was studying in Bailudong in the late Tang Dynasty, the Five Dynasties and the Ten Kingdoms Frontier Period. "An inch of time is worth an inch of gold, but an inch of gold can't buy an inch of time" is a proverb, which comes from Wang Bai's two Bailudong poems.

"An inch of time is worth an inch of gold, but an inch of gold can't buy an inch of time." Synonyms: Moment is precious, time flies, the sun flies, and one day is Sanqiu. Antonym: Every day is like a year, and the night is long.

In the new edition of Ci Yuan, under the entry "inch silver", there is a poem "Send Chen Jiahui", which says "an inch of time is an inch of gold", but it turns out that it is not the earliest source of this famous saying.

Why do I like this famous saying?
