Visiting the composition of the Red Dragon Dream Grand View Garden

I believe everyone has read A Dream of Red Mansions, one of the four classical novels. Cao Xueqin, a writer, with his magnificent literary language, created the typical image of China classical gardens-Grand View Garden, which is the artistic stage for the activities of figures in the Red Chamber. The garden design of Grand View Garden has a far-reaching influence on the garden construction of later generations. Today, I was lucky enough to visit the Grand View Garden in Shiyan Town, Dongtai City. This is a micro sculpture created by local folk artist Grandpa Gao. I was very surprised.

This tall middle-aged grandfather used to be the stationmaster of our Shiyan Town Cultural Station. After retirement, he devoted himself to studying A Dream of Red Mansions, and was suddenly inspired to reproduce the "Grand View Garden" in A Dream of Red Mansions in the form of micro-carving. It took him five years to build the 15 square meter 1 version of the "Grand View Garden". In September 2000, the works of Daguan Garden were selected for the first time to participate in the 6th China Arts Festival Jiangsu Folk Craft Expo, which aroused strong response and was permanently collected by the Jiangsu Provincial Museum. Now we are presented with the second edition of "Grand View Garden", with an area of 18 square meters. The main part consists of more than 30 landscapes and more than 500 buildings, including Daguan Garden, Hongyi Garden, Xiaoxiang Pavilion, Wu Hengyuan, Lixiangyuan, Qicui Temple, Zilinzhou and Daoxiang Village. The tall middle-aged grandfather integrates carving, engraving, carving, embedding, pasting, grinding, painting and painting into one, which makes the whole layout rigorous, with different shapes, exquisite decoration, exquisite transparency, dynamic and static integration, pavilions, magnificent, waterfront pavilions and winding paths, typical Ming and Qing architectural styles, making people immersive and relaxed.

This tall and middle-aged grandfather's exquisite micro-carving technology is amazing, but his spirit of being brave in difficulties, innovation and continuous progress is even more admirable!
