Route introduction: National Highway 227 starts in Xining, Qinghai and ends in Zhangye, Gansu, with a total length of 347 kilometers, including 245.5 kilometers in Qinghai Province.

The route passes through Dabanshan, Jingyangling, Aobolinling, Heilin River, Baoku River and Haomen River, crosses Qilian Mountain 100 km, and enters Gansu Hexi Corridor.

It is a branch of National Highway 3 18, starting from Chengdu, Sichuan and ending in Naqu, Tibet, with a total length of 2,034 kilometers.

Highlight: From Chengdu to the north, from Yingxiu Town to the west, through Wolong Nature Reserve, over the misty Balang Mountain (4520 meters above sea level), through Xiaojin County, to Danba.
