Author: Poems of Mi Strach (Chile)
The stars are shining on the black velvet with their eyes open: Are you looking down from above to see if I am innocent? The stars are embedded in the quiet sky with their eyes open, and you are high above me and say that I am kind? The stars are blinking with their eyes open. Why do you have so many colors? Blue, red and purple? Curious little eyes, open all night. Rose and plum. Why should I erase you? The little eyes of the stars shed tears or dew. You're shaking up there. Is it because of the cold? Small eyes of stars, I promise you: you look at me, I will always be innocent.
2. A net to catch the moon
Author: Selected Poems of Sever Stein (USA)
I made a net to catch the moon, and I'm going out hunting tonight. I want to fly and throw it into the sky. I must trap the huge moon. The next day, if there is no moon in the sky, you can think like this: I have caught my prey and put it in a net to catch the moon. If the moon is still on, look down and you will see clearly that I am swinging freely in the sky, but the prey in the net is a star.
