What is the level of Li Bai's poetry?

foreword

Li Bai, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, failed frequently in officialdom and failed in his rise. People often attribute the reason for burying Li Bai to Li Bai's appearance, personality, fortune and even alcohol consumption. But I never thought about Li Bai's poetry and song writing. Is Li Bai's poetry and song writing skills really as powerful as the legend? Of course, compared with Li Bai, I am far behind, haha!

Tang people always have a poor admiration for this silent, low-key, vanished and brilliant poet. If this person has a history of hard struggle and has never been recognized, then in people's minds, the fewer people he meets, the more talented he is. Slowly, this person's image will transcend the secular, abandon the secular, become Du Fu's "invincible poem" and become a symbol. From then on, people never knew how excellent he was, how deep his skills were, how detached his thoughts were, and how mysterious his stories were. Finally, one day, "Invincible Poetry" went out of Dune City and went to Chang 'an to discuss poetry, which naturally caused a lot of shock, exaggeration, speculation and interpretation.

So, thanks to He, I let you know about the fallen fairy.

In 725 AD, when Li Bai just came out of the mountain at the age of 25, there was a heated discussion about Li Bai in the literary world of the Tang Dynasty, mainly discussing his article "A Bird Fu in the Dapeng Club". Some people say that Li Bai is popular because of the appreciation of Sima Chengzhen, a Taoist master, not because of his popularity. In 734 AD, it was said that Li Bai was going to be red because of his meeting with the poet Du Fu, but he still didn't. In 742, Li Bai re-entered Chang 'an, and was exclaimed by He as "fallen immortal", which triggered a wave of discussion on poetry among the whole people. Later, more and more "professional" poetry critics appeared among poets. These popular poetry critics keep mentioning four people in their ultimate interpretation of good writing, one is Meng Haoran, the other is Wang Wei, the other is Li Bai and the other is Du Fu. Naturally, some people say that Li Bai should always be popular, but once again, he is not.

But this time, Li Bai was "red", and Tang Xuanzong knew that giving such a large amount of alcohol would double the value of gold. But how long can this red last? I don't think it is optimistic. Li Bai's fans, such as Du Fu, attribute Li Bai's burial to his appearance, fortune, personality and even alcohol consumption, but they never thought of writing poems. Is there a problem with Li Bai's writing poems? Is his poetic skill as good as the legend?

Up to now, Li Bai has written eight poems in imperial academy. From amazing to mediocre, I used three or four poems, and then I had a small resurgence because of a desperate book "Difficult Road to Shu". Now I am in the stage of mixed praise, endless admiration and endless spit. Li Bai's technical ability was top-notch in the Tang Dynasty, and his imagination was extremely strong. Bold, unrestrained, elegant, romantic exaggeration area even as Chen Ziang. However, with such strong technology, why do people feel that something is missing and something is added every time? The reason must be fatal. What's wrong with his writing poetry? Say it briefly.

First, there is a lack of poetry merchants.

I have explained in detail that there are four aspects to poetry merchants, but the requirements for poets in the Tang Dynasty should not be too high. Just do the first one well: write the "graceful feeling" of poetry. The biggest difference between a poem and a sentence is that it has an elegant taste. Graceful taste is people's familiarity with the "poetic state" established in long-term life communication experience, including the character, tone, temperament and artistic conception of poetry, which is the key to whether poetry can infect readers. However, in Li Bai's poems, the poem lacks the flavor of mandarin ducks and butterflies, and the image of the poem is very simple. Once he wants to express his feelings, there will only be endless strangeness and grotesque, and he will fall into a misunderstanding of "exaggeration" or "poetry". "Writing dreams" and "dreaming to write" are two completely different realms. The former is to hypnotize the audience, and the latter is to make the audience fall down before getting drunk and make people understand him. Think of three thousands of feet's long white hair, waiting for the exaggerated pen to send out three thousands of feet's high notes. In this experience of reading poetry, there are more fantasies than others, and you can't get a real enjoyment of crossing. However, the poets in China, no matter Li Yu, Liu Yong or Qin Shaoyou, will not feel so much pressure when reading their poems, and Li Bai can't fully express their contents. Some people say that Ci of Autumn Wind was originally a poem by Li Bai, but fortunately he didn't write it, otherwise there would be a classic missing at the end of The Condor Heroes.

And what is the relationship between "technology" and "poetry quotient"? For example, technology is "useless" and poets are "rice". Contrast, frustration, layering, spotting, transfer and other technical aspects are the pieces of bamboo boards that make up this rice barrel, and how many meters this rice barrel can finally hold depends on the shortest bamboo board. Some pushers, such as fake Liang Huan, have a great demand for rice, but the barrels are not complete. See Weibo, has been "blowing", and Li Bai, on the other hand, the barrel is solid and complete, with a large capacity, but there is not much wine in stock.

Second, writing poetry is mechanical and stylized.

After reading eight poems written by Li Bai in imperial academy and his previous poems, you will find a problem. These poems are all written in the same way. After writing a poem, he has to go through five processes, namely, serious statement at the beginning, loss at a loss, unrestrained exaggeration, crossing fantasy dreams and determination to get drunk.

These five works are Li Bai's program, the summary of the Ming Dynasty, and the imperial edict of the Ming Dynasty, which are strictly implemented. I once read a poem written by Li Bai praising Taoism. Even if I write such poems, I can't give up his five. Reading is neither fish nor fowl, puzzling, and five pieces make a four-unlike.

And once he doesn't write poetry like this, he will write very ordinary, comparable to passers-by. He once wrote a farewell poem to Wang Lun. Some of the poems in it, such as "Li Bai will go by boat" and "Not as good as Wang Lun", are all written below the passing line, and another sentence "Suddenly smelling the singing on the shore" is worse than Zhou Bangyan's.

The writing of this five-sentence poem was left over by Chen Ziang, the heroic king of the 1950s and 1960s. Sadly, the king has long since passed away, and there are no new poems now. The sense of backwardness in this era is like Li Bai's learning from Chen Ziang for decades. When he was still halfway, Meng Haoran, Wang Wei and other pastoral poems had become the mainstream of poetry in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, which was really embarrassing.

Third, it lacks artistic aesthetics and has a strange taste.

Li Bai doesn't seem to know what is "good-looking" and what is "ugly", or he just thinks he is good-looking and lacks a sense of beauty. Not to mention that he didn't comply with the level requirements of metrical poems at all, even Xiaoyan's poems were quite strange and mysterious. A typical example is his improvisation of "Qing Ping Diao" in Chenxiang Temple. Every word has a sense of "false elegance" and its vowels are different. The whole song seems to be "I want clothes (wow) (ah) (er) flowers (er) I want to accommodate (ow)". He seems to be at a loss about what a poem wants to express, just as he once roared and wrote "Yanshan snowflakes are as big as seats". It doesn't matter whether it is appropriate or not, as long as he shows that he is good at exaggeration. In that song "Difficult Road to Shu", the last fourth dream was beyond his power to steal dreams. Every word is always trapped on the edge of subconscious dreams. This kind of hysteria is very terrible and neglected. Such a bizarre dream fully shows that he is powerful, can shout, can roar, and others can't. I was the first. As for why I wrote this, because Chen Ziang, the king of the early Tang Dynasty, often wrote this. So he tried to exaggerate, but he was actually talking in his sleep. He wanted to be bold, but he was crazy. He wanted to improvise, but he didn't know what to say. He thinks he is romantic, but in fact he has become an intermittent alcoholic.

These "shortcomings" made Li Bai buried, and the technology of the Tang Dynasty was only a sigh in the end. Quoting a poem I once commented on, "It's Hard to Go", I think it is the truest portrayal of his whole creative career and life: there is a powerful conservative force around him, which makes him in an era tragedy with an ambition that is hard to pay for half a life. This era is driven by the big black hand of the vested interest groups in the poetry circle, such as the fake Liang Huan and the fake Ear Emperor, who collude with each other. Even if the poet Du Fu wrote that "all peoples want to kill, I only care about my talents", even if Han Yu, a literary giant, said that "fools don't know", it would be slander. Mayflies shake trees, which is ridiculous. Li Bai, one of the greatest poets of all time, can only wander in rivers and lakes for life in the end.

Even if there is a good name handed down from generation to generation, it is difficult to make up for the sad loss.
