Xiu already knows you, but you still don’t know how to be ashamed
Ouyang Xiu was a great poet in the Song Dynasty. Many people visited him and asked him for advice on poetry. There was a young man who could write a few poems, but he was not convinced. When he met people, he would say, "Ouyang Xiu also carries one head on two shoulders. What's so great about it! I have to compete with him." That day, he went to see Ouyang Xiu. On the way, he met a middle-aged man who asked, "Brother, are you here to find Ouyang Xiu?" The middle-aged man nodded and said, "Yes!" So the two of them walked together. The young master told him about his visit to Ouyang Xiu. The middle-aged man said: "It seems that you are very knowledgeable. How about writing a poem?" The young master saw a dead tree in front of him, so he casually chanted: "There is a dead tree in front of me, divided into two branches." The middle-aged man answered. He went down and said: "In spring, moss turns into leaves, and in winter, snow turns into flowers." The young master was delighted when he heard this. "Okay, brother. With you, I won't be afraid of Ouyang Xiu." The two of them were walking and saw a group of geese jumping into the river. The young master got excited again: "A group of geese across the way plopped down into the river." The middle-aged man continued: "The fur is floating green, and the neck is curled up to sing a clear song." The young master looked up and down at the middle-aged man. , said: "I didn't expect you really had a chance. Let's get on the boat. After crossing the river, we're not far from Ouyang Xiu's house." They got on the boat, and the young master was still showing off: "You and I can take a boat and go find Ouyang Xiu." The middle-aged man smiled slightly and added two more sentences: "Xiu already knows you, but you still don't know Xiu."

The interest of Su Dongpo's dumb couplets
After Su Dongpo was demoted to Huangzhou, he lived there for several years. One evening, he and his friend monk Foyin went boating on the Yangtze River. Su Shi suddenly pointed to the left bank with his hand and smiled without saying a word. Foyin looked around and saw a yellow dog gnawing on a bone.
