Everyone is familiar with the origin of the famous ancient poem "Ode to Goose", which was written by the author Luo Nian when he was only 7 years old. Because of its straightforward language, vivid description and high artistic value, it has become one of the enlightenment works of contemporary children.

Then, besides Wang Luobin, who other famous ancient poets can write excellent works in their early years? The answer is, of course, yes.

Today, I want to introduce a poem "The Shepherd's Poetry" written by Huang Tingjian when he was seven years old. He is a disciple of Su Shi, who studied under Su Shi, Chao and Qin Guan. Together, they are called "Su Men Four Bachelor". What is commendable is that although this poem "The Shepherd Boy" was written by a child, it did not reflect the child's infinite yearning for the future. On the contrary, it is indifferent and disdainful to fame and fortune, more like a middle-aged and elderly person who has experienced many vicissitudes.

Huang Tingjian [Song Dynasty]

Riding a cow far past the former village, blowing a flute across the village. (flute playing: piccolo oblique)

How many Chang 'an fame and fortune guests, organ failure is not as good as jun.

The first two sentences of this poem, "Riding an ox far beyond the former village, playing a flute across the dragon and smelling the fragrance", are all rough. Write directly what you have seen and heard. I saw the shepherd boy riding a cow in the distance and heard his melodious flute coming through the dragon farm. The last two sentences of this poem, "Chang 'an is not as rich and famous as your official", are reasonable. Those who seek fame and gain in Chang 'an are not as good as this free shepherd boy.

In A Dream of Red Mansions, Cao Xueqin commented on Wang Xifeng in this way: "The authorities are fascinated and lose their lives." I wonder if I was also inspired by this poem by Huang Tingjian. As one of the main characters in A Dream of Red Mansions, Wang Xifeng is smart, articulate and versatile. She got a lot of private money through her own means. Unexpectedly, all the money of Jia's family was robbed and all the money was confiscated. The money she worked hard to collect not only didn't cost much, but became her evidence.

Seven-year-old Huang Tingjian is still an inexperienced child. Why can he write such a delicate poem? History doesn't tell us the answer clearly. However, we may get a glimpse of Huang Tingjian's father, Huang Shu.

His uncle was a scholar during the reign of Injong. Although his official career is not smooth, he is honest and upright. Therefore, perhaps the young Huang Tingjian witnessed his father's frustration. Although I have paid a lot in my official career, I still can't realize my ideal, and my heart is very depressed. Therefore, he thinks that the shepherd boy in the country is more free and enviable.

Unfortunately, Huang Tingjian inevitably followed his father's old path, which may be related to the education he received since childhood. After all, learning well is to be an official.

Just like many young people who are working hard in big cities now, some of them will envy the comfort of small cities, but for their ideals, they will choose to stay in big cities.
