"One of Two Poems on Bamboo Branches"
Tang Dynasty: Liu Yuxi
The willows are green and the Qingjiang River is level, and I hear the sound of people stepping on the Langjiang River.
The sun rises in the east and rains in the west. There is no sunshine but there is sunshine.
Liu Yuxi is indeed a great poet. Many of his poems are different from other people's works and have distinctive personalities. This is the most prominent feature of his poems, especially his early poems. His works were even more sharp. Even when he was suppressed, he did not lose his confidence in life. He was still a flamboyant personality. He often ridiculed the powerful people at that time in his poems. This also made him the target of many people. .
