Explanation of Resentment to the Goddess of Luo
It is said that Duan, the wife of Liu Boyu from Jin Dynasty, was jealous by nature. She became jealous just because Liu praised her of the Goddess of Luo in Cao Zhi's "Ode to the God of Luo". Died by drowning. See Tang Dynasty Duan Chengshi's "Youyang Zazu Nuo Gao Ji 1". Later, "Resentment to the God of Luo" was used as an allusion to a jealous wife. "Dream of Red Mansions" Chapter 92: "If it is those who are beautiful, Wang Qiang, Xizi, Fan Su, Xiaoman, Jiangxian, etc.; those who are jealous are the bald concubines, those who resent Luoshen, etc."
