Travel Notes of Yueyang Tower in Hunan-Junshan Island Scenic Area

Text | Figure? Yu Hongzhi

This trip to Hunan was purely accidental. My friend invited me to join a customized tour group. I think late September is a good time to travel, and I can also avoid the crowds during the National Day, so I readily agreed.

I've never been to Hunan, but I've only heard of the city names and scenic spots. I was really excited to see the short itinerary sent by my friend. This trip includes Yueyang Tower, Orange Island in Changsha, Chairman Mao's former residence in Shaoshan, furong town, Fenghuang Ancient City and Zhangjiajie.

After consulting with friends, a group of 14 people was formed, with only one man and all the others were women. It can be said that it is the Beijing Aunt Group, so this time it was dubbed "Beijing Fairy Group" by the tour guide Li Dao. The "fairies" are all beautiful women who love life, and they can hardly see their real ages.

When we are tired by boat and waiting in line in the scenic spot, we will also feel that "traveling is to spend money to buy guilt", but when we walk between picturesque mountains and rivers, we forget all the fatigue and troubles, enjoy the beautiful scenery and keep taking beautiful moments with our mobile phones and cameras.

Spend the National Day holiday with my family, watch the National Day military parade, get together, play and be busy. After the long vacation, recalling this trip to Hunan, those beautiful scenery are still vivid and unforgettable.

The first destination of this trip is Junshan Island, Yueyang Tower, Yueyang City.

On the evening of September 20th, 14 and his party took a train from Beijing to Changsha, and should have arrived at Yueyang Railway Station before 7 am on September 20th. As a result, the train was delayed about 1 hour, which caused the tour guide to wait at the train station 1 hour.

The tour guide who took us this time was Li, but the day in Yueyang was explained by a local tour guide. After leaving the station, we had breakfast and went down to Yueyang Tower Scenic Area under the guidance of two tour guides.

Yueyang Tower has experienced many fires and many reconstructions in its long history. The Yueyang Tower we see now has always remained the same as when it was rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty.

After entering the scenic spot, the first thing I saw were several miniature bronze building models, which were the shapes of Yueyang Tower in various dynasties.

Yueyang Tower is located in the west wall of Yueyang Ancient City, Hunan Province, overlooking Dongting and Junshan. Since ancient times, it has been known as "Dongting is the world's water and Yueyang is the world's building", and it is also known as "the three famous buildings in the south of the Yangtze River" with the Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan, Hubei and the Wangtengting Pavilion in Nanchang, Jiangxi. 1988 1 has been designated as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council.

Yueyang Tower has three floors, four columns, cornices, helmet top and pure wood structure. Four nanmu gold pillars in the building go straight to the roof, and the whole building is a whole.

According to records, Yueyang Tower was built around 220 AD. Its predecessor is said to be the "Reading Army Building" of Lu Su, a general of Soochow in the Three Kingdoms period, and it was called "Baling Building" in the Western Jin Dynasty and the Southern and Northern Dynasties.

After Li Bai wrote poems in the Tang Dynasty, it was called "Yueyang Tower". At this time, Baling City has been changed to Yueyang City, and Baling Building has also been called Yueyang Building.

In the spring of the fourth year of the Northern Song Dynasty (1044), Teng was exiled to Yuezhou to understand military affairs. In the spring of the fifth year of the Northern Song Dynasty (1045), Teng rebuilt Yueyang Tower and asked his friend Fan Zhongyan to take notes.

Time flies, time flies.

1983, the State Council allocated special funds for the overhaul of Yueyang Tower, and the components were copied and updated as they were, which lasted for 10 months, and more than 55% of the original components were retained. In May 1984, Yueyang Tower was overhauled and opened to the public.

The tour guide said that the original engraved screen of Zhang Yue Yang Lou Ji inlaid on the second floor was *** 12, which was once transported away and sank into the water in distress. An old fisherman fished out 1 1 from the water. The old fisherman was uneducated and used them as a springboard, so some of his handwriting was destroyed and he couldn't read clearly.

Later, a man of insight in Yueyang discovered it, identified it as priceless, bought it with money, and later generations gave it to the country. One of the 12 blocks that people see now is a supplement.

The story of Yueyang Tower inlaid on the first floor was imitated by later generations, but now it has become a cultural relic.

The third floor is inlaid with Du Fu's poem "Climbing Yueyang Tower" copied from Chairman Mao's cursive script.

Although it is not a holiday, there are still many people visiting Yueyang Tower, so it is difficult to take a quiet photo.

There are two pavilions next to Yueyang Tower. Xianmei Pavilion, located in the south of Yueyang Tower, is one of the auxiliary pavilions in the main building of Yueyang Tower, corresponding to Sanzui Pavilion. Sanzui Pavilion is located on the north side of Yueyang Tower, echoing the Xianmei Pavilion on the south side of Yueyang Tower.

I first learned about Yueyang Tower because of Fan Zhongyan's famous book "The Story of Yueyang Tower" at school. Among them, "don't be happy with things, don't be sad for yourself" and "worry about the world first, and be happy after the world" are the most famous.

The tour guide said: Fan Zhongyan was in Dengzhou, Henan when he wrote The Story of Yueyang Tower. He didn't go to Yueyang Tower in person, but wrote it through a painting "Dongting Late Autumn Map" presented to him by his friend Teng. But he lived in Dongting Lake since he was a child, and he is very familiar with the scenery of Dongting Lake, so he can write famous articles.

Standing on the Yueyang Tower, overlooking the railing, the smoke on Dongting Lake is vast and boundless, and a kind of reverence for the ancients and praise for the great rivers and mountains of the motherland rises in my heart.

At noon, we had lunch in a local fish-based restaurant. In the afternoon, we took a boat to Junshan Island, which is far from Yueyang Tower.

There are busy boats on Dongting Lake. Egrets and Sha Ou take off and land on the oasis near the island from time to time. Standing on Junshan Mountain and looking at Dongting Lake can't help but make people shine: the scenery here is unique.

Shang Jun Island, located in Yueyang City, is a small island in Dongting Lake. Junshan is small and exquisite, surrounded by water, with fresh air, lush greenery and picturesque scenery. Liu Yuxi, a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty, once described the beauty of Dongting with the poem "Looking at mountains and rivers in the distance, snails on silver plates".

There are two concubines' tombs on Junshan Island, the full names of which are Jade Emperor's tombs. According to legend, more than 4,000 years ago, during Shun Di's southern tour, E Huang and Nv Ying, two concubines of Shun Di, saw their husbands after a long separation, searched around and came to the Dongting Army Mountain. When they heard the news of Shun Di's death, they couldn't help crying and stroking the bamboo. Tears spilled on the bamboo, and it turned into a spotted bamboo. E Huang and Nv Ying died of grief and were buried in Junshan.

The bamboo on the island is straight and thin, reaching into the sky.

We sat around the island on a scooter and saw lush trees and tea gardens on the island. It is said that Junshan Yinzhen tea is very famous.

After returning to land by boat from Junshan Island, we paid attention to Baling Square near Dongting Lake. There is a huge sculpture in the square-Houyi shoots Bashu snake. Legend has it that this giant snake named Bashu did evil in Dongting Lake and swallowed many lakeside residents. The Emperor of Heaven sent Hou Yi to shoot Bashu, and Hou Yi shot him to death in Yueyang. Its mausoleum is called Baling for short, which is the origin of Yueyang's old name.
