Chrysanthemums in autumn and September

In autumn and September, chrysanthemums are fragrant with flowers, red, white, green and yellow. In September, chrysanthemums are in full bloom, colorful and dazzling.

Chrysanthemum is one of the top ten famous flowers in China, one of the four gentlemen among flowers (Prunus mume) and one of the four cut flowers in the world (chrysanthemum, rose, carnation and gladiolus), with the highest yield.

Because chrysanthemums are cold and proud of snow, there is Tao Yuanming's famous sentence, "Pick chrysanthemums under the east fence and see Nanshan leisurely." People in China have the custom of enjoying chrysanthemums and drinking chrysanthemum wine on the Double Ninth Festival. Tang Meng's "Passing the Old Village": "Wait until Shan Ye Holiday, I will come back in the chrysanthemum season." In ancient myths and legends, chrysanthemums are also endowed with the meaning of good luck and longevity.

Chrysanthemum has strong adaptability, likes cold and is cold-resistant. The optimum growth temperature is 18-2 1℃, the highest is 32℃, and the lowest is 10℃. The low temperature tolerance limit of underground rhizomes is generally-10℃. The lowest night temperature at flowering stage is 17℃, and it can be reduced to 15- 13℃ at flowering stage (middle and late stage). I like plenty of sunshine, but I also tolerate shade a little. More resistant to dry, the most taboo waterlogging.
