Mencius said, "Everyone can think Yao and Shun." But in feudal society, this is just an illusion for people with extremely low status. Leaders and poets, as sons of the people, stand at the height of historical materialism and realize the power of the people and their role in creating history, so they wrote the poem "600 million China, prosperous as Yao".
This poem expresses Mao Zedong's expectation and praise to the people, and also expresses Mao Zedong's truly democratic humanitarian thought. The liberated people have determined their status as masters of society, and their essential strength has been fully exerted, making mountains bow and rivers make way, completely eliminating the plague that stifles people's destiny. Such a person is the real god, the real Shun Yao.
