Two clusters of wonderful flowers-peony and peony-were born in this way, growing to seven or eight feet and producing gorgeous flowers as big as plates.
Until the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Liu Xiu jumped into the broken wall of Mituo Temple to avoid being hunted, and fainted. Peony brushed the ground, spread the branches and leaves, and wrapped Liu Xiu tightly, avoiding the pursuers. Liu Xiu woke up and lay in the flowers, feeling refreshed.
After Liu Xiu proclaimed himself emperor, in order to thank Peony for saving his life, he specially toured Hebei and visited the white elephant. He revisited his old place and was deeply moved. So he wrote a poem: Xiao Wang avoided chaos and passed through a deserted village. There is nothing bleak in Jingsi, only a few peony flowers, and he is still loyal to the king. From this, it got the name of Han Peony, which also made Han Peony famous all over the world. More famous is Han Mudan's indomitable character and extraordinary spirituality.
1937, Japanese invaders occupied Baixiang, Hebei Province. They covet this famous flower and want to monopolize it. They mobilized the masses twice, dug a few feet deep and transported them to Japan with roots and soil, but they all failed. China Peony would rather die than surrender, not be a "person" for the country.
After this disaster, China peony didn't grow for several years. However, in the second spring after liberation, the peony of the Han Dynasty broke ground and germinated, sprouting piece by piece, flourishing and fragrant, reappearing in the world. It can be seen that the Chinese peony has national integrity. 1976 before may day, China peony, which has always been pink, opened three huge white flowers in a row this year, which was a surprise for an instant.
It was in this year that three founding leaders, Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and Zhu De, died one after another. In the same year, the peony of Wu Dun Han Dynasty could not blossom, and the north and south suffered floods, which gave the peony of Han Dynasty full of charm unprecedented charm.
