The Buddhist scriptures say: "Before you become a Buddha, you must first form relationships with people." The so-called relationship means establishing harmonious relationships and good communication with others. One of the most precious things in life is "making connections". For the sake of our own happiness in life and the happiness of everyone else's lives, it is really important to form many good connections. So, how can we build good relationships?
In the past, some people lit a street lamp on the road to bond with passers-by, some built a tea pavilion to serve tea and bonded with people, and some built a bridge to connect the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. For example, someone digs a well to provide food for everyone to form a bond with, and someone gives you a clock to form a bond of time. These are all very valuable good relationships. As long as people have a kind heart, good karma will naturally exist everywhere, and good doors will open everywhere! I will briefly list several ways to form a bond:
1. Economic bonding
Sometimes we can use a piece of Money and good relationships with others not only bring them a sense of intimacy, but may even save their lives. For example, there is a car accident on the highway, and someone wants to call to report the accident and ask for help, but he only has banknotes and no copper coins, so there is no way to exchange money. At this time, you lend him a dollar, and immediately the ambulance and doctors come, and many injured people are bleeding and dying. All have received timely rescue, and the good karma of your dollar will be immense!
2. Language bond
When others are discouraged, if you encourage them with a word, they will have The feeling of surviving a desperate situation; when others are disappointed, if you praise them, they will feel that life is much more lovely. As the saying goes, "One word of praise is more glorious than Hua Gong; one word of disparagement is more severe than an axe." Sometimes a good word can really make people and I happy, and the world peaceful!
3. Merit and virtue.
A small act of kindness, a small kindness, can lead to great merit. There once was a child in the Netherlands. When he was walking home from the seaside embankment in the evening, he accidentally discovered a small hole in the embankment. Sea water was slowly flowing out of the hole. He thought: Oh, this is terrible! If you don't hurry up, Block it up, and tomorrow the embankment will burst and the sea will flood the entire city. The child had a kind heart and couldn't find anything to block the blockage, so he used his fingers to block it. He stood in the wind and rain from dusk to dawn, waiting for no one the whole night. Only after dawn did anyone find that he was so cold that he fainted. At the embankment, with his fingers still tightly stuck in the hole, everyone was extremely moved to know that he saved the lives and property of the entire city's residents with just one finger. Therefore, "Do not do evil because it is small, and do not do good because it is small." A small kindness can save countless lives and achieve infinite merit.
4. Education and forming relationships
We can also use knowledge or technology to practice charity to form relationships with others. Every day, so many teachers across the country are diligently imparting knowledge and knowledge, improving the knowledge level of the people and promoting the prosperity and progress of the country. If you teach someone a little bit of knowledge or technology today, it will become his ability to live in the world tomorrow; often a wise word may affect the other person's life and become his guide to life and the basis for his life.
5. Service and friendship
If you give others a little convenience in certain things, sometimes you will become the object of everyone's admiration and love. For example, the policeman helped the old lady cross the street at the crossroads, setting up a good image for the people's nanny; the saleslady kindly guided the customers to buy things, allowing them to enjoy the fun of shopping; the children politely walked in the bus. Giving up our seats to the elderly gives us confidence in the future of our country. From these service connections in daily life, we can get a glimpse of whether our society is a progressive and open one.
6. Physical connection
A smile or a raise of a hand can sometimes bring unexpected good fortune to everyone. There was once an unemployed young man who was wandering in front of Taipei Railway Station, looking at the busy bustling scenery in shock. He wanted to find a rich man's car to hit him and commit suicide so that his poor old mother could get a pension to live. Just when he was desperate, a noble and beautiful lady passed by him, smiled and nodded to him. The young man was so happy that he forgot to seek death; the next day, he actually got a job to support his family, not to mention Dead! How huge the cause and condition of a smile is!
Learning Buddhism and doing merit sometimes do not necessarily mean going to the mountains to practice or giving money. Sometimes, a good word, a good deed, a smile, a little Knowledge can bring many good karma to our lives and achieve great merits. There are four famous mountains in Chinese Buddhism. Each of the four famous mountains has a Bodhisattva who should pass on the Dharma to the world, namely the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, Manjushri and Samantabhadra that we usually call. Each of these four great Bodhisattvas has special causes and conditions:
Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva uses compassion as a condition to save all living beings. In his compassionate heart and compassionate wishes, all living beings receive the milk of compassion and achieve success. Compassionate heart.
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva takes the power of vows as the condition: "Only when all living beings are saved can we realize Bodhi. If hell is not empty, we will never become a Buddha!" ??For thousands of years, these four verses of countless vows of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva have been , pointed out the road to Buddhahood for the world, and lit up the ever-bright lamp for Buddhism!
Manjushri Bodhisattva takes wisdom as the basis, spreads his wide and long tongue, speaks the supreme Dharma, appears light for the blind, and performs the sound of the Dharma for the dark. , with his wisdom and great wisdom, he created the most profound and wonderful state of Prajna for Chinese Buddhism.
Samantabhadra Bodhisattva takes practice as his prerequisite, and his every move and every move is in accordance with the Tao. There is nothing wrong with raising his eyebrows and blinking his eyes. He has established a simple and pragmatic Taoist model and noble style for Chinese Buddhism.
In addition to the four great Bodhisattvas, all the eminent monks and great virtues in Buddhism throughout the ages have their own unique methods of forming relationships. For example: Master Hongyi develops relationships with people through calligraphy, and develops relationships with people through upholding the precepts. As long as there are people who admire Buddhism, he will never hesitate to write sutras in pen and ink to establish ties with the Dharma. He himself practices rigorously, adheres to the precepts, never slanders the Dharma with a word, violates the precepts with a single deed, and establishes a "Hua Zhichun" model for Buddhism. Full, the heart of the sky is full and the moon is full” is a noble example.
Old monk Xuyun has established a relationship with others through meditation. He is as immovable as ever, his mind is not distracted, he does not preach but the sound of the Dharma spreads, and he catches up with all opportunities and does not change with the situation.
Master Taixu used his sermons as a basis, or interpreted Prajna with words, or enlightened people with his sermons, and traveled around the world to lay down a refreshing prescription for the resurrection of Chinese Buddhism.
Master Shandao uses light to connect with the public, so that the blind people are not blind, and the blind people can regain the light of wisdom, and bring light to the dark and dirty world.
Master Yin Guang established a relationship by chanting the Buddha's name. From the continuous practice of chanting the Buddha's name and chanting the Buddha's name every day, he guided the believers to have firm confidence in the Pure Land of Amitabha and formed a relationship with the Buddha Amitabha. Wonderful good causes and conditions.
Society relies on the joint operation of groups to function effectively. Even the life of an individual depends on the coordinated gathering of the six sense organs in order to live a happy life. Everything in our daily life depends on the close cooperation of scholars, farmers, industry and commerce, and only by moving and transporting can we have enough food and clothing and avoid scarcity. Therefore, we have to thank the fate and the many people who have made us possible. If we want to have a prosperous career and live a happy life, we must form good causes and good relationships with all living beings in this world, and even good causes and good relationships in the future, and even form Dharma relationships with Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Being able to grasp causes and conditions, create causes and conditions, and follow causes and conditions, "Come from the ten directions, go from the ten directions, and everything will happen in the ten directions; ten thousand people give, ten thousand people give, and together we form ten thousand people's relationships."
"You will definitely become a Buddha and achieve Bodhi!
