Famous couplets and their origins

1, two tables and three considerations; A pair of thousand-year-old feet.

Source: The couplets inscribed by You Jun in Ming Dynasty at the main entrance of "Sangutang"

Note: The first part refers to Zhuge Liang's first two and last two "models" as a reward for Liu Bei's friendship of loving the people, because it puts forward the policy of selecting talents and giving strict rewards and punishments to govern the country, which embodies the spirit of all wisdom being loyal and doing their best to die.

The second part is that Zhuge Liang's "Longzhong Dui" is immortal enough to be handed down from generation to generation, because it puts forward the whole policy and strategy of Shu Han's founding and governing the country. Couplet address: Wuhou Temple in the southern suburbs of Chengdu.

2. Look at the model with ambition; So as to sing for Fu Liang.

Origin: Modern Guo Moruo was inscribed in the Houdian of Chengdu, Wu.

Explanation: "This model" is to commemorate the ruler in the last years, when Zhuge Liang led an army to attack Wei, and his lifelong ambition was reflected in this model. "Song of Fu Liang" is an ancient Yuefu song, unlike some books that are all Corona songs. Zhuge Liang loved to recite this song when he was in Longzhong to express his concern for the country and the people.

3. The thatched cottage remains in future generations; Poets are immortal.

Origin: The topic of modern Zhu De is in Chengdu Du Fu Caotang Poetry History Museum?

Description: The first part writes that Du Fu lives near Huanhuaxi, with beautiful scenery and beautiful environment. When Du Fu's poems are written into poems, they will be passed down through the ages, so that Du Fu's Caotang and Huanhuaxi can complement each other.

The second part borrows the allusions of Du Fu's and Gao Shi's chorus poems "People Send Addendum Day" and "People in Gaoshu Prefecture pay more and more attention to it" to express their admiration and nostalgia for the sages. In couplets, the word "Gong" is opposite to the word "I", and the word "Hui" is used. Inheriting Du Fu's self-commitment, bold and implicit, is a clever structure.

The third summons increased his burden of handling state affairs; Talk about the past and the present.

Commentary: The first part is excerpted from Du Fu's poem Shu Xiang, which means that Liu Bei visited Zhuge Liang three times in Longzhong (now Xiangyang, Hubei) and took pains to ask him for advice on running the country. Zhuge Liang's strategy can be found in Longzhong Dui, which mainly analyzes the general trend of the world, first taking Jingzhou and Yizhou, appeasing the south, repairing politics at home, outreach Soochow, northern expedition to Cao Wei and unifying the whole country.

The second part is the author's praise for their meeting, talking about the general trend of ancient and modern times, forming a deep friendship, laying the foundation for future career, and being passed down as a beautiful talk of ancient and modern times.
