2. Butterflies have been favored by literati since ancient times. Butterflies are often mentioned in poems and lyrics. For example, in the poem "Jinse" written by Li Shangyin, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, there is a phrase "Saint Zhuangzi daydreaming was bewitched by butterflies, and the monarch was in love with cuckoos".
These two poems are full of memories of dead friends and express the feelings of joys and sorrows. The poem quotes the allusions of Zhuang Zhou's Dream Butterfly, the combination of metaphors in the former sentence "Saint Zhuangzi daydreaming, Butterfly bewitched" and the separation of metaphors in the latter sentence "The king and the emperor are in love with cuckoos". These two sentences echo each other.
