Excuse me, in Su Shi's ci, "On the west side of the old base, humanity is the Red Cliff of Zhou Lang in the Three Kingdoms", where does "Red Cliff" refer to?

There are two places in Chibi: Wenchibi and Wuchibi. Wen Chibi is in Huanggang City, Hubei Province, and Wu Chibi is in chibi city City, Hubei Province.

Introduction to Chibi

The site consists of three hills, namely Chibi Mountain, Nanping Mountain and Jinluan Mountain. These three hills are connected by ups and downs, green as the sea, and pavilions are scattered in it, which makes the scenery more beautiful. Its main scenic spots are Cliff Cliff at Chibi, Baifengtai, Feng Chu Temple and Yijiang Pavilion. These scenic spots are not far apart and connected by paths, so they are easy to find.

At the southwest riverside of Chibi Mountain, the rock slopes for more than 3 meters, and the rocks are rugged. The surging river rushes straight to the cliff, rolling up thousands of piles of snow, and the sound is like huge thunder. Scholars and poets have come here to pay their respects since ancient times, so they have left many books. It is said that when the Red Cliff was attacked by fire, Zhou Yu was standing in the direction of Jitou. Suddenly, when he saw the towering flames shining on the cliff, he was so excited that he wrote these two characters in regular script on the spot, which made people carve stones to commemorate it. Although this legend is not reliable, it reveals the origin of the naming of "Red Cliff". Near the word "Red Cliff", there are portraits of Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, which complement each other with calligraphy stones, and can be described as both calligraphy and painting.

The worship platform at the top of Nanping Mountain is said to be the site of the Seven-Star Platform when Zhuge Liang offered sacrifices to the east wind. The statues of Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei in the back hall are very vivid and eye-catching.

It is said that Pang Tong once lived in seclusion in Feng Chu Temple on the mountainside of Jinluan. The original nunnery was abandoned early, but now it is rebuilt in the 26th year of Daoguang reign of Qing Dynasty (1846), with blue bricks and black tiles, simple and elegant. The statue of Pang Tong enshrined in the main room of the nunnery is solemn and resolute, with awe-inspiring and inviolable spirit. The temples are covered with moss and green cloth, with winding paths hidden in secluded places, old trees hanging in the shade, and birds flying, which really has the artistic conception of "Tonamiyama is more secluded".

The Yijiang Pavilion at the top of Chibi Mountain is said to be the site where Zhuge Liang and Zhou Yu watched Cao Ying when they were in Battle of Red Cliffs. The pavilion was built by later generations, with a blue tile cornice and six corners, facing the ruins of Huanggai, the zhongfeng Wangting, and setting off each other. The pavilion is surrounded by beautiful flowers and lush grass, and the scenery is very charming. Ya overlooking the Yangtze River in the pavilion can make people wander in the old country, and I want to see the scene of "falling into dust" when the Jinbing soldiers were in Chibi.

The origin of Chibi

The word "Chibi" is located in the hanging rock near the river in Jitou, Chibi, 138 kilometers south of the city. "Hubei Tongzhi" contains: the word "Chibi" is written by Zhou Yu in Jitou, Linjiang, Chibi Mountain. According to legend, on the 13th day of the winter month in the 13th year of Jian 'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 28), Sun and Liu joined forces with the help of the wind, using fire to attack, and the fire burned down, killing 26, soldiers and horses of Cao Cao. The troops of Dongwu and Liu Bei pursued the victory until Nanjun, and Cao Cao led the remnants to Yecheng in the north. Zhou Yu's army played a triumphant song, returned to the Red Cliff, and held a victory banquet on the ship of the commander's department. After drinking wine and getting drunk, they drew their swords and danced, singing while dancing, saying: Facing the Red Cliff, defeating Cao Gong, settling in the Han Dynasty, and settling in the East of the River. This landscape is beautiful, and it has been praised for generations, engraved with the word Xi, and made great achievements. After the song, the sword was engraved with the word "Chibi" on the cliff. This sword was engraved with Chung Shan Man. It is said that the word "Chibi" was written backwards in Lushan Mountain, Jiangxi Province. According to the source of Chibi, Liu Bang, the son of Chi Di, the ancestor of the Emperor Gaozu, descended to the world. His snake-cutting uprising laid the foundation for 4 years in the Han Dynasty. Although he followed the Qin system, he had his own set of rules in naming place names. At that time, this rule was to set the orientation based on yin and yang, five elements and twenty-eight nights. Red is the best color. In the sixth year of Emperor Gaozu's reign, Mei Chi, the county magistrate, began to investigate the mountains and rivers in China and found many unknown place names, so he ordered a number of place names according to the imperial will. At that time, the imperial court expanded the deduction with the gold, wood, water, fire and earth of yin and yang and five elements, and matched the starry sky with the ground, aiming at Kyushu on the ground, each with its own point, and separating the stars. According to the star field, Sha Xian is between the wings and wings of Southeast Suzaku. So how can a small square city be named after the five elements and the stars? Meixian made a visit to Luo Wencong, a veteran who has been practicing in the southern bank of Lushui for a hundred years. He knows astronomy well and geography poorly. The Taoist priest spread out his compass and gossip, and after some deduction, he traced the terrain and marked the name. The central mountain belongs to gold, called Jinzishan, and the five elements are headed by gold. To the east of Jinzi Mountain is the image of black dragon. Take its pit, which is called "Stone Pit" because it is used to relax temples and treat diseases. South is the image of Suzaku, taking its willow, "Vitamin bird notes, main vegetation", and taking the place name "Liulin" in Jinzi Shan Zhinan. The west is the image of the white tiger, so it is called "Kui" and "Gui", and it is called "Kui calls it a ditch blasphemy" and "Gui is a tiger road", so the place name is "Kui" in the west of Jinzi Mountain. The north is the image of Xuanwu, taking its wall, "the wall of Xuanwu is also", and taking a place name as; "Chibi", the four place names in the four directions are 6 miles away from Jinzi Mountain, and in this way, the place name of "Chibi" appeared. Emperor Gaozu advocated red color. In addition to "Red Cliff", Luo Daochang took several names with deficits, such as Chibolin, Chibolin Lake, Chibangfan and Chimagang. Meixian county magistrate decided on the important place names in the county according to this silk picture of Laodao Chang. In this way, the name "Chibi" went down in the annals of history, and there were more than 5 references to Chibi in the book "The History of the Three Kingdoms" alone. Its descendants' historical records and local chronicles appear frequently, which is a great contribution of Meixian Ling and Luo Daochang.

Chibi Scenic Spot, the ancient battlefield of the Three Kingdoms, is located 38km northwest of chibi city. In the 13th year of Jian 'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 28), the famous "Battle of Red Cliffs" in China history happened here. In the face of a powerful enemy, Sun Quan, the Lord of Wu, took the advice of his advisers and joined forces with Liu Bei to fight Cao. At that time, Cao Jun was stationed in the north of Chibi, and Sun Liu's allied troops were stationed in the south bank. Zhou Yu, the commander-in-chief of Sun Quan of the State of Wu, used Huang Gai's fire attack plan to burn the serial ships of Cao Jun into flight. The location and controversy of Battle of Red Cliffs

Chibi Mountain in chibi city for hundreds of years, there have been many discussions about the location of the "Chibi" war in the history circle, and all of them have been called "New Chibi War" by the media. Generally speaking, there are at least seven kinds of "Red Cliff Theory": Pu Yin Theory, Huangzhou Theory, Zhongxiang Theory, Wuchang Theory, Hanyang Theory, Hanchuan Theory and Jiayu Theory. From the modern and contemporary point of view, the focus of debate is between Pu Yin's theory and Jiayu's theory, while historical publications and evidence of discovered cultural relics are more inclined to Pu Yin's theory.
