Creation background
About one autumn between the eighth year (773) and the twelfth year (777) of Tang Daizong Dali, Liu Changqing was framed and convicted by the observation of Eyue, and was only lightly punished and demoted to Mu because he supervised the censor Miao Pi's mirror. "The Master of Furong Mountain in the Snow House" is about the severe winter, which should be after being demoted.
This poem depicts a picture of a cold mountain staying at night based on tourists staying at night and snowmen with a family style. Poetry is written in chronological order. The first sentence is about what passengers feel when they travel on the mountain road at dusk, the second sentence is about what they see when they arrive at the lodging house, and the last two sentences are about what they hear at the lodging house after night. Each poem constitutes an independent picture and is connected with each other. There are pictures in poetry, but feelings are seen outside.
The words "Sunset is far away from Cangshan Mountain" draw a picture of the twilight and the long mountain road. Here, it is a word "far" that gives a vivid picture and expresses the poetic scene. From this word, we can infer the lonely and tiring travel situation and the eagerness to stay when pedestrians travel on the mountain road at dusk.
Write "sunset" before "Cangshan is far away" in the previous sentence, and write "cold weather" before "white house is poor" in this sentence, both of which increase the level and weight of the poem. The long mountain road has already made people feel that the journey is far away, and it is even more distant when they see the sunset; Simple huts have already made people feel poor, and when it comes to winter, it is even more poor.
"Chai Men" inherits the "white house", "snow" inherits the "cold weather", and "night" connects with "sunset". In this way, from the perspective of the whole poem, although the second half of the poem has opened up another poetic realm, it is closely linked with the first half.
Liu Changqing's generation is similar to Du Fu's. He wrote poems in his early years, but he became a famous poet after Su Dynasty and Dai Dynasty. And Qian Qi also called Qian Liu, the main representative of Dali's poetic style. He devoted his life to the near body, especially to the five laws, calling himself the "Great Wall of Five Words". The sigh of many life experiences in the poem is sometimes involved in the national economy and the people. His poems are profound and romantic.
