Historical allusions of Puhu Park

Putai County was established in the 16th year of Sui Dynasty (AD 596), and Putai County was established in the 3rd year of Chang Dynasty (AD 1 192). The city is located on the south bank of Yu Daqing River (Jishui Ancient Road), facing Beizhen (predecessor of Binzhou Old Town) across the river. Its wall is made of mud, and it is 20 feet high on Wednesday, 178 steps. The moat is 10 feet deep and 20 feet wide. There are cross streets and 28 ditches in this city. The city wall has four doors, north, south, east and west. Each door has an urn and each door has its own watchtower. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, 16 watchtowers were built around the city wall, and three "Jinze" gatehouses were built in the Wanli period, and then 1 143 gatehouses were erected on the city wall. Tang Saier, who was born in Xiguan, was razed to the ground by the Ming army during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty. Since then, Pucheng has become a unique "three official cities".

In the fifth year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (AD 1855), the Yellow River broke through Tongwa Room in Henan Province and seized the Daqing River and entered the sea. Because the riverbed can't hold the Yellow River, most of it is sediment, and the river often overflows. In order to prevent flooding, Pucheng people built another protective dam outside the city wall. However, due to the continuous siltation and elevation of the river bed, Pucheng's terrain is getting lower and lower, becoming a dangerous basin. In the 25th year of Guangxu reign of Qing Dynasty (AD 1899), the Yellow River Dam was built in the north of Daoxi Village, south of Pucheng. This year, the Yellow River flooded again, and this section of the river rolled south (the dangerous section of Daoxu is now a river). The old river course of Daqing River north of Pucheng is no longer flooded, but the low-lying situation of Pucheng has not changed.

1in the spring of 938, the Kuomintang army rashly blasted the Huayuankou to stop the Japanese attack, and the Yellow River diverted to the Huaihe River to enter the sea. Pucheng relieved the danger of being flooded in a certain period of time. However, the city soon became the main point occupied by the Japanese and puppet troops, burning, killing and looting, which made the local and surrounding areas restless. 1945 after the liberation of Pucheng, the people's government of Putai County did not live in Pucheng, but worked in Qiao Zhuang, Gaomiaoli and Xiaoying on the south bank of the Yellow River. 1in March, 947, the Kuomintang government blocked Huayuankou, the Yellow River returned, and Pucheng was in danger. 1in March, 956, after the establishment of new China, the establishment of Putai County was abolished in the State Council, and the land on the south bank of the Yellow River was divided into Boxing County and Qidong County (the establishment of Qidong County was abolished in June1/year), and the land on the north bank of the Yellow River was allocated to Binxian County. In order to ensure the safety of life and property of Pucheng residents, the local government invested 1965 to resettle Pucheng residents, and Pucheng became an empty city. 1976 During the flood season, serious floods occurred in the lower reaches of the Yellow River, and Pucheng was eventually swallowed up by the Yellow River flood. Six years later, the local government converted it into a reservoir to alleviate the shortage of water resources and named it Pucheng Reservoir. Because of the vast water surface, people called it "Lake" and later renamed it "Puhu".

On July 30th, 1983, the new dike in Beizhen (cutting corners and straightening) was completed, which lasted more than three months. The newly-built dike is 4,447 meters long and constructed according to the fortification standard of 1983. The bow-shaped old dike to the north of the new dike has still been preserved, and since then there has been the saying that the old dike in Beizhen is a new dike. 1984, the local government decided to build a large area in the north of Puhu Lake as a leisure and sightseeing area, which was opened in early 1986 10 and named as "Puyuan". After excavation, the remains of the east-west Daqing ancient road in the north of Puyuan have become a water park for boating. This is the only well-preserved channel in Guji Water, which has profound historical and cultural connotations and important textual research value. In 2009, Binzhou City upgraded Puyuan Scenic Area, turning Puyuan into a development-oriented comprehensive urban park with the style of classical gardens in the south of the Yangtze River, integrating leisure, amusement, sightseeing, fitness, catering and culture.
