In addition, this play is very detailed and poetic. In particular, the psychological activities of Li Feiyun are vividly portrayed. She became infatuated by the painting, and it became more and more intense; the swallow holding a note in her mouth led to marriage, which is pure legend. But it reflects women's pursuit of eternal love in feudal society and people's good wishes. Although this play only depicts talented people and beauties and cannot reflect the essential contradictions of society, it is still very popular on the stage because of its twists and turns and strong drama. This play was recorded and presented to the inner court by the famous Dongge University scholar Wang Duo, and people also competed to perform this play, which shows its status and grand occasion at that time. The passages that were often performed in later generations include "Portraits", "Collecting Notes", "Treacherous Escape" ("Dog Cave"), "Gao Yuan" and so on. Among them, "Treacherous Escape" is also known as "Dog Cave" and is often performed in Kunqu opera.
