Is there a sentence that has something in common with Japanese tea ceremony in spirit? A half-day leisure for drinking tea is worth a ten-year dusty dream?

Influenced by many TV programs, many young people in China think that tea ceremony is a unique Japanese culture. In fact, Japanese tea ceremony originated in China and spread to Japan from China in the Tang Dynasty. It's just that China Tea Ceremony pays more attention to spirit than form, while China Tea Ceremony once experienced a low tide in the process of inheriting China culture. So compared with Japanese tea ceremony, it lacks influence and popularity in the world. But the connotation of China Tea Ceremony is much deeper than that of Japanese Tea Ceremony. China Tea Ceremony pays attention to the beauty of "tea, tea, temperature, tea set and environment" and pursues the highest enjoyment of the unity of "taste" and "heart", which is much broader than Japanese Tea Ceremony with "harmony, respect, purity and silence" as its basic spirit.

Zhou Zuoren wrote an article "Eating Tea". Regarding the tea ceremony, he thinks this way: "Drinking tea under the paper window of the earthen house, drinking tea in the clear spring, and drinking with elegant ceramic tea sets by two or three people, half a day's leisure can be worth ten years of dusty dreams." In this description, "half a day's leisure can be worth ten years of dusty dreams" can be described as three flavors of tea ceremony. Just because of a cup of tea, you can treat half a day as ten years and forget the time. This is Zen in tea.

The combination of Zen and tea originated from Zhao Zhou Zen Master in Tang Dynasty. He preached Buddhism and Zen for 40 years and was deeply admired by monks and customs. He is a model of the jungle and is called "the ancient Buddha of Zhaozhou". His Buddhism is profound and profound, and he is a great master in the history of Zen. Someone once asked him, "Two dragons compete for pearls, who is the winner?" The Zen master replied, "Old monk, just watch." The five words that Zen master Zhao Zhou answered are the true meaning of Zen's "pointing directly at people's hearts and regarding nature as Buddha". And his self-proclaimed "going to have tea" is a combination of tea and Zen, which makes countless Zen students break the paint bucket and see the bright Zen, which is also the spirit of tea ceremony.

Chinese tea ceremony

Tea is one of China's "Chyi Chin, Calligraphy, Painting, Poetry, Wine and Tea" and is an elegant culture of China. People in China pay attention to etiquette and rules when drinking tea. They should not only have perfect norms and drinking methods, but also pursue the cultivation of sentiment and self-cultivation through drinking tea. The combination of the two is the spirit of tea, which is also commonly known as "tea ceremony".

Influenced by China culture, especially Confucianism, the core of China Tea Ceremony is "moderation, virtue, frugality and tranquility". After China Tea Ceremony was introduced to Japan in the Tang Dynasty, I made some changes to form a Japanese tea ceremony with "harmony, respect, purity and silence" as its core, and its essential content is still within the scope of China Tea Ceremony.

China tea ceremony is not as formal as Japanese tea ceremony, nor does it pursue the ultimate tea ceremony. One of the characteristics of both sides is the pursuit of "letting go." China Tea Ceremony emphasizes the combination with Zen and pursues "enlightenment" in tea ceremony. This enlightenment begins with understanding the ups and downs of tea, and then realizes the Zen art of tea, and finally reaches the highest realm of tea Zen.

Tea is not boiled water, it not only has the function of quenching thirst; Tea is not coffee, nor is it simply stimulated and refreshed by the chemical components it contains. Only by tasting tea like meditation can we know the beauty of tea. Tea can meditate, Zen can understand, and tea Zen can blindly achieve inner peace.

Turn a blind eye to tea Zen, and you can only experience it yourself. What is "enlightenment"? Fanfanti
