An interesting story about the origin of this connection
According to legend, during the Qianlong period, the top scholar Qin (that is, his real name) was a favorite pupil of the famous poet Yuan Mei. One day, Qin went to visit the tomb with his former poetry friends. There is an iron statue of Mr. and Mrs. Qin Gui in front of Wang Yue's grave, and a couplet written by Mr. and Mrs. Qin Gui in a tone of mutual accusation.
The couplet is: "Cough! I am heartbroken, so what if I have a good wife? Hey! Although a woman has a long tongue, she is not an old thief. " The poets laughed after reading it, joked that the new champion named Qin was their descendant, and asked him to write couplets to commemorate this trip. Qin gave a wry smile and immediately put pen to paper. The couplet reads: "People are ashamed of their names since the Song Dynasty, and I am ashamed of my surname Qin Wei when I am buried." He deserves to be the champion of the new discipline. He is really good at wording.
There is also a legend that says, "When the Emperor Tai Shang was in the imperial court, one day (the emperor) asked me,' How is your family after Qin Gui?' Qin (Da Shi) had nothing to say, and said to him,' Once every emperor was a courtier.' "It can be said that this answer is clever.
Qin Dashi has many contacts with celebrities in Jinling. Yuan Mei, a famous writer, went to Nanjing to make an order for Jiangning County, and saw an inscription on the stone wall of Yanziji: "The fishing fire is only suspected of falling flowers, and the bell wants to compete for water." Knowing that this was Qin Dashi's topic, they became best friends from then on.
I used to swim the Qinhuai River together, enjoy the scenery on both sides of the strait, see the gold powder of the Six Dynasties, and the hidden moon was prosperous. Qin Dashi, impressed by the sight, recited seven poems: "Gold dust falls and weeds grow new, and the girl is getting cold and tired every day. Sadness is sad, and Huai Shui is also surnamed Qin. " The last sentence won Yuan Dacai's applause and became popular for a while. For Qin Dashi, this last sentence is more meaningful.
