The first chapter of the Book of Filial Piety says: "Parents dare not be harmed when they are physically ill, and filial piety begins; Standing on the road, I will make a name for myself in later generations to show my parents that I am filial. "
With the word "filial piety" in one's mind, one will not live up to parents' expectations, and can do things that benefit the country and the people and achieve great things. "That is to say, filial piety is the basis of self-cultivation and virtue. Self-cultivation based on filial piety can make people as deeply rooted as trees and win people's trust and respect when interacting with others.
Giving up my son and marrying my two daughters to Shun means that Shun is a model of filial piety and will surely achieve the great cause of governing the world in the future. Dr. Sun Yat-sen particularly emphasized the importance of national cultivation. He said: "If we want human progress, we must cultivate noble personality. If human beings want to have noble personality, they must reduce animal nature and increase human nature. Without animality, they naturally won't do evil. It is completely human nature, and natural morality is noble: morality is noble, and what they do is of course on the track, making progress day by day. "Yan Family Instructions" is: "If the father is not kind, then the son is unfilial; If a brother is not a friend, then a brother is disrespectful; The husband is unjust and the woman is not smooth. " These philosophical words are also in line with materialist dialectics. Kindness and filial piety, friendship and courtesy, benevolence and obedience are both opposites and unity; They are both independent and interdependent. The feudal era advocated large families. It is common for a family to have dozens, dozens or even hundreds of people who have not left home. What does such a big family depend on? Don't you just rely on one word "filial piety"? There are stories in Twenty-four Filial Pieties, such as brothers fighting for filial piety and filial piety spreading five times, which is enough to illustrate. Someone concluded: "Filial piety is the adhesive of family, and filial piety is the source of family happiness." This is a very accurate statement.

Throughout the history of China's 5,000-year civilization, every tyrant in the past dynasties always ruled the country by tyranny, without filial piety or filial piety, but acted arrogantly. Managers who are filial and loyal will gain the trust and admiration of the people, and then the government decrees will be unblocked, and the government will be harmonious.

In the final analysis, governing the country is to educate and manage the people, and education and management must have unified standards and unified systems. However, different educational standards and different systems have different governance effects, even the opposite.
