What is the image in pinhole imaging?

The pinhole imaging experiment strongly shows that "the propagation path of light in the same substance is straight", which is beyond doubt. However, it is difficult to agree that the image in pinhole imaging is called real image in many materials. The author thinks that the image in pinhole imaging should not belong to the category of image in essence. To understand this problem, we might as well take Ci Hai as an example. Such as: portrait; Portrait; Gypsum image. 2. The light emitted by an object passes through an optical group (lens, mirror, prism or their combination) to form a picture similar to the original object. The image formed by actual light convergence is called "real image", and the image formed by virtual light convergence (that is, the extension line in the opposite direction of light) is called "virtual image". Obviously, the "image" in physics should be interpreted as the second kind. Can't be a virtual image (virtual images can't be accepted by the screen at all). Therefore, it is not an "image" in physics (besides, the optical group mentioned in Ci Hai does not include the meaning of small holes). Of course, it does not conform to the first explanation-characterization and sculpture. So, what is the "image" in "pinhole imaging"?
