Poetry of chilling spirit

8. "The Children of Nanling Farewell and Entering Beijing" - Looking up to the sky and laughing, we go out. How can we be from Penghao?

Penghao people: people from the grasslands, that is, people who are not officials. In the first year of Tianbao (742), Li Bai was 42 years old. At this time, he received an edict from Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty summoning him to Beijing. He was extremely excited and believed that the time had come to realize his political ideals. He immediately returned to his home in Nanling, said goodbye to his children, and wrote this passionate seven-character poem, in which he did not hide his joy. These two sentences vividly express the poet's self-satisfied image!

7. "Traveling is Difficult Part 1" - There will be times when the wind breaks through the waves, and the sails are hung directly to help the sea.

These are the last two sentences of the poem. The previous sentence used wine to drown the sorrow, describing his depressed mood and struggling to find a way out. Although the road ahead is bumpy and rugged, what kind of person is Li Bai? Can it stump him? His strong desire and perseverance to actively participate in the world led him to recite this famous saying: "There will be strong winds and waves, and I will hang my cloud sails to help the sea." "Song Book·Zong Cui Biography" said that Zong Cui's uncle asked him What is the ambition? Zong Cui said: "I am willing to ride the long wind and break thousands of miles of waves." Later generations used "riding the wind and waves" as a metaphor to express political ambitions. The last two sentences express the author's firm confidence in overcoming all difficulties and obstacles and realizing his lofty ambitions.

6. "Sleepwalking Tianmu's Farewell" - An Neng bows down to serve the powerful, which makes me unhappy!

The meaning of this sentence is: How can I bow my knees to serve the powerful, so that I can't have a comfortable smile! These are the last two lines of the poem. The poet was very depressed during his three years in Chang'an. Why was he depressed? In the third year of Tianbao reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty (744), Li Bai was ostracized by the powerful in Chang'an, was released from Beijing, returned to his home in Donglu, and then embarked on a wandering journey again. These two sentences also vented the depression he had experienced in Chang'an for three years.

5. "Farewell to the School Secretary Shu Yun at Xietiao Tower in Xuanzhou" - We are all full of joy and hope, and want to go to the blue sky to see the bright moon.

This sentence means that both of them are passionate and ambitious. They are drunk and want to fly, and want to climb to the sky to catch the bright moon. The previous description described a clear day and an autumn sky, but here it talks about the "bright moon", which shows that the latter is not a real scene. The words "desire to go up" also show that this is the poet's bold words when he was drunk and in high spirits. Boldness and innocence are harmoniously unified here. This is exactly Li Bai's character. Although reaching the moon from the sky is a spontaneous remark and may not necessarily have any meaning, the image of flying and vigorous movements makes readers clearly feel the poet's yearning and pursuit of a noble ideal state.

4. "Early Departure from Baidi City" - The apes on both sides of the strait can't stop crying, and the boat has passed the Ten Thousand Mountains.

The poet was riding a fast boat on the Yangtze River. He heard the cries of apes on both sides of the bank, and saw the shadows of mountains on both sides. There were more than one ape cries and more than one mountain shadows. Due to the speed of the boat and people, The cries and the mountain shadows become "one whole" between the ears and eyes. This is what Li Bai felt when he came out of the gorge and heard the sound of the apes and the mountain shadows. Since it is an ape’s cry, how can it not be the cry of one’s own heart? !

In an instant, the "light boat" has passed the "Ten Thousand Mountains". The boat enters a smooth road, and the poet's pleasure of going through hardships and entering a prosperous journey is naturally expressed. These last two sentences are both a description of the scene and a metaphor, an expression of personal mood, and a summary of life experience. They are inspired by things and are exquisite and unparalleled.

3. "I will enter the wine" - I am born with talents that will be useful, and I will come back after all my money is gone.

The poet then affirmed life and himself in an optimistic and strong tone: "I am born with talents that will be useful." This is an amazing sentence. "Useful" and "necessary", very confident, almost like a declaration of human value. Here, from the seemingly negative phenomenon, a positive essence hidden deep in the world is revealed, which is a lack of talent and a desire to join the world.

“A thousand pieces of gold will be lost and it will come back again!” This is another astonishing sentence with a high degree of confidence. It can drive money without being controlled by money, which is really enough to make all ordinary people speechless. The poem is like the person he is, I think the poet "traveled to Weiyang (in the past) for less than a year (less than a year) and scattered more than 300,000 yuan in gold" ("History of Pei Chang of Shang'an Prefecture"), what a heroic feat it was.

2. "Xia Ke Xing" - kill one person in ten steps and leave no trace in a thousand miles.

"Killing one person in ten steps, leaving no trace in a thousand miles" is an allusion from "Zhuangzi", praising the sharpness of the sword. The poem does not say what kind of people are killed, but the so-called chivalrous people always kill unjust people. Revenge and the like can be said to be murderous, killing all directions! Taken together with the following sentence, "When the matter is over, you throw away your clothes and hide your body and fame", it highly summarizes the knight's noble personality of solving problems, not seeking fame and fortune, respecting loyalty, and valuing commitment.

1. "Song of the Eight Immortals in Drinking" - The emperor couldn't get on the boat after calling him, so he claimed that he was an immortal in wine.

This poem was actually not written by Li Bai, but by his good friend Du Fu. "The Emperor cannot come on board the ship" may not necessarily be true, but it is very consistent with Li Bai's ideological character, so it has a high degree of artistic authenticity and strong artistic appeal. "Not boarding the boat" expresses Li Bai's artistic image of being unruly, bold and unrestrained, and looking down upon the feudal princes.

This is exactly the romantic image of Li Bai that has been loved by people for thousands of years. After Li Bai was drunk, he became even more arrogant and unruly. Even when the emperor summoned him, he was not so respectful and frightened, but proudly shouted: "I am an immortal in wine!" This strongly shows Li Bai's character of not fearing the powerful.

This also echoes strongly with the previous sentence "An Neng can crush my eyebrows and bend my waist to serve the powerful, which makes me unhappy!"
