How many years have passed since my old friend was in Jianghai?
Suddenly meet, but doubt is a dream, lament and ask each other's age.
Our single lamp shines through cold and wet, wet bamboo and dark floating smoke.
But forget the sadness of tomorrow, and leave a cup to cherish.
This poem describes the psychological process of friends who have been separated for many years, falling in love at first sight and meeting each other late. When the author reunited with his long-lost old friend, he thought it was a dream, but the Ming Dynasty was about to fall apart. They drank the parting wine under the lonely lamp, reluctant to part, showing their friendship and cherish. The whole poem is neat, light and profound. "Suddenly I found that you were like a dream, and my throat choked, and we asked how old we were" is a farewell song for reunion after a long separation, similar to Yi Lee's "When I first heard your surname, I thought you were a stranger, and then I heard your name, I remembered your young face".

In Huaiyin, Jiangsu, the poet met an old friend who had contact with Jiang Han in Liangzhou ten years ago, so he was inspired to create this work. At the beginning of the poem, the poet summed up his previous friendship with the joy of meeting an old friend when he visited Jianghan in the past. At that time, they often got together and got drunk. The poet wrote this story as if he wanted to get comfort from sweet memories, but the result was the sadness of the years.

People doubt that it is a dream meeting to meet Jiangnan in the capital.
The autumn wind disturbs the branches, and the cold cries in the grass.
Tourists wandering outside should have been drunk and stayed with each other for fear that the bell would ring.
The first couplet of this poem meets the antithetical sentence, which shows the time and place of meeting. The first couplet explained the time (autumn night), place (Chang 'an), the word "full", and wrote the shape of the autumn moon. It's really rare to get together unexpectedly. When the poet was away from home, he happened to meet his fellow villagers, but he was delighted and suspected that it was a dream meeting. Words such as "Huan Zuo" and "Fan Yi" are vivid and vivid, showing the poet's sad mood. These two sentences fully expressed the poet's surprise.
