Poems about calla lilies

"Calla Lily in June"

Author: Colorless Modern

I don’t understand my eyebrows,

dark and monotonous bloodline.

I don’t know who I have loved or whom I love.

Now - shrinking in my sky,

In the failing wind of June,

I list a series of unlucky explanations days.

The calla lily has passed away,

flying from the branches,

but I can only,

watch her disappear in the morning light inside.

Extended information:

Cala lily is a strong perennial herb of the monocotyledonous plant class, Araceae, and genus Calla lily. Tuberous and easily tillering to form clumps. The leaves are basal and sheathed at the lower part; the leaves are thick, green, heart-shaped or arrow-shaped, the apex is sharp, acuminate or tail-shaped, and the base is heart-shaped or halberd-shaped. It likes loose, fertile, humus-rich clay loam soil.

Calla lily flowers are poisonous and contain a large amount of herbal calcium crystals and alkaloids. If eaten accidentally, they can cause poisoning symptoms such as drowsiness. This species is a non-toxic plant included in the Chinese Plant Atlas Database. Its toxicity is due to the toxicity of tubers, spathes and spadix.

Cala lily is a commonly used flower in bridal bouquets in European and American countries. It is also the national flower of Ethiopia.
