Historical evolution

In April 1955, Shuangtang was established street.

In 1957, Lingjiao Street was merged into Shuangtang Street.

In April 1960, Shuangtang Street and Diaoyutai Street were merged to form the Diaoyutai Branch of Qinhuai District People’s Commune.

In November 1962, the People's Commune was abolished and Shuangtang Street and Diaoyutai Street were restored.

In January 1988, Lifuxiang Street was abolished, and the area north of Changle Road was merged into Shuangtang Street, and the area south of Changle Road was merged into Diaoyutai Street.

In February 2002, Diaoyutai Street was canceled and merged into Shuangtang Street.
