Full text of Li Shutong's farewell

The full meaning of Li Shutong's "farewell" is:

Beside the ancient road outside the pavilion, the grass on the ground extends to the horizon. The evening breeze blows through the willow tips, the flute sounds intermittently, and the sunset is outside the mountain. Good friends are mostly wandering around. I picked up the hip flask and gulped it down, hoping to make the rest of the joy to the extreme, but tonight's dream was very painful.

Original text:

Outside the pavilion, beside the ancient road, the grass is blue. When will you come here? Don't hesitate when you come! The days are short, the ends of the earth, and intimate friends are scattered. Life is seldom a gathering, only a lot of separation.

Farewell is divided into three parts. The first section is "writing scenery", which is written outside the pavilion and beside the ancient road. The second paragraph is lyrical, expressing the sorrow of the soul; The third paragraph is a repetition of the first paragraph, but it is not. It is the repetition of words and the sublimation of meaning: I experienced "seeing my friends off" and realized that life is short, like the sunset, full of biting cold.

Song of Farewell is a song written by artist Li Shutong.

Expanding the history of information creation:/kloc-in the 9th century, American musician J·P· Odway wrote a song "Dreaming of Home and Mother". Later, after Dreaming of Home and Mom spread to Japan, Tong Qiuxi, a popular Japanese domestic dog, filled in new words in Japanese with the tune of the original song (which may be slightly changed) and made this Japanese song "Sadness of Travel".

1907 The Sorrow of Travel was published and widely circulated in Japan. From 1905 to 19 10, Li Shutong studied in Japan, so he was exposed to the sadness of traveling. He was moved by the beautiful melody of this song and had creative inspiration. After returning home, he became a "friend of the world", and his life in this period obviously left a deep impression on Li Shutong.

He Xu advocated the idea of civil rights, changed customs and advocated the autonomy of marriage between men and women. Once a member of the wave of social reform, the failure of the second revolution, Yuan Shikai's proclaimed himself emperor, these endless social changes.

As a result, millions of assets and possessions of the Xu family disappeared. Xu Yuanhuan rushed to Beijing to get justice from Yuan Shikai. When I was leaving, I had mixed feelings. I wrote this song to say goodbye. It is also an outstanding musical work of Li Shutong, which has been sung for generations in China.

In the song, Farewell uses the tune of Anthony dvorak. Lyrics, "Dream of Home and Mother", "Sorrow of Travel" and "Farewell" are the personal creations of three artists, which are three independent works without direct connection. Of course, there may be some similarities in artistic charm and emotional expression because the tunes are based on the same.

Farewell does not involve enlightenment, but it has a long meaning. Music and literature complement each other. Lyrics are written in long and short sentences, with concise language, sincere feelings and far-reaching artistic conception. The song is a trilogy structure, and each paragraph consists of two phrases. The first and third paragraphs are exactly the same, and the music is gentle and undulating, depicting pavilions, ancient roads, sunsets, flute sounds and other night scenes, setting off a quiet and cold atmosphere.

In the second paragraph, the first phrase is in sharp contrast with before, and the mood becomes excited, which seems to be a deep sigh. The second sentence reproduces the second sentence of the first paragraph with a slight change, which appropriately expresses the feeling of parting from friends. These similar and even repetitive phrases do not give people the impression of being tedious and rambling in the song, but strengthen the integrity and unity of the work and give it a special aesthetic feeling.

"Outside the pavilion, by the ancient road, the grass is green. The evening breeze blows the flute, and the setting sun is over the mountain ... "The faint flute blows out sadness, and the beautiful lyrics write farewell, which makes people have mixed feelings. The echo from beginning to end, the poet's feeling: he who sees through the world of mortals.
