Yang Jianhua, a native of Luyi, Henan Province, was born in 1951. He has been fond of art since childhood, and has been in the pool for decades. He is good at landscapes, especially flowers and birds. He has held more than ten solo exhibitions at home and abroad, and has been collected by China Military Museum, CCTV Painting and Calligraphy Institute, and hundreds of artists from more than 2 countries and regions, including Singapore, the Philippines, Japan, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. He has won the gold medal of the China International Scientific and Cultural Achievements Expo Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition and the second prize of the first middle-aged and old-aged painting and calligraphy exhibition organized by the Ministry of Culture, the second prize of the National Painting and Calligraphy Invitational Exhibition of Zhengqi Song sponsored by China Calligraphy Herald, the first "Huaxia Cup" national painting and calligraphy art exhibition for middle-aged and old people, and the gold medal of "Ode to the Red Flag" for the 8th anniversary of the founding of the China Institute of Painting and Calligraphy. He also created a record of winning six consecutive championships in the "Newcomer's New Works Exhibition" organized by Henan Artists Association. His works were selected in turn into China Modern Art Collection, Contemporary Painting Art, China Art Collection, China Artists Collection, and National Calligraphy Collection for the Centennial Birthday of * * * (edited and published by China Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute). Resume has been compiled into China Dictionary of Modern Artists and Celebrities, Who's Who in Contemporary China, Who's Who in the World and other dictionaries. He is currently honorary chairman of China Cultural Artists Association (for life), vice president of Taihang Mountain Painting and Calligraphy Institute, member of Chinese Artists Association, member of Henan Artists Association and member of the 7th Luyi County CPPCC.
