After teaching in several schools recently, I found that in every class or group, there is always a player who is bored. No matter how you group, one person in each group will magically become a silent ninja. Should we give up on these boring employees? The answer is yes, we must not give up, but what should we do? Asking him every day is not the way. Recently, I summed up a small method in the teaching process, which feels good. Here it is.

My way is to set up a secretary position directly managed by the lecturer in addition to our traditional grouping in the class, so that the participating students can feel valued and give them a chance to show it in another way. I have shared the daily group leader meeting, asking our secretary to do some regular work in the group leader meeting, and giving us something deliverable every day to make them feel involved and fulfilled, such as the daily briefing of the group leader meeting.

Purpose:

Find the most boring student to be the lecturer's secretary first (it is recommended that the lecturer and the lecturer be of the opposite sex). This needs to be communicated with the students alone before the appointment is announced in the class.

Let him do some secretarial work that doesn't need to be expressed in advance, such as recording the daily meeting of the team leader. It is suggested to repeatedly mention and praise the secretary's work in the morning meeting or teaching process every day, so that he can find a sense of existence (it is suggested to have a private chat with him more than a few days ago, because everything is difficult at the beginning, there must be many uncomfortable places in the secretary's work, so that he can know more and encourage him).

When doing some activities in the teaching process, you can let him be an assistant (for example, giving everyone tools such as paper and pens), encouraging him by laughing at each activity or answering questions, and helping him to participate in the classroom slowly. When the team leader has a meeting, he will set the agenda in advance and let the secretary preside over it. It usually goes smoothly in about three days (it will be more convincing if other schools have mature secretaries).

After passing the examination, ask him to find a suitable candidate in other groups, promote him to be the secretary-general, guide the new secretary to do the original work, and then deliver it to the lecturer after passing the examination, and so on.
