Su Shi's Ding Fengbo was written in Huangzhou. This poem was written in the fifth year of Yuanfeng in Song Shenzong (1082), which was also the third year after Su Shi was relegated to Huangzhou.
After Su Shi went to Huangzhou, he bought fields in Hu Sha and cultivated in Huangzhou himself, which was also necessary for his family to eat and wear. On March 7, when I went to Husha Lake, it happened to rain halfway, so I wrote this word. Ding Fengbo's exact words are as follows:
Don't pay attention to the beating rain in the forest. Mei sings a long whistle and walks leisurely. Bamboo poles and sandals are more dexterous than riding horses. What's to be afraid of? A raincoat and hemp fiber, despite the wind and rain, still live my life.
The coolness of spring breeze awakens my wine, and the cold begins to be cold, and the peak of the sun is the sun, but it is satisfied in time. Looking back at the place where I met the wind and rain, going back, for me, there is no wind and rain, but it is still sunny.
The literal meaning of this famous saying "I will spend my life in misty rain" is easy to understand, that is to say, I will always remain calm and calm in the storm and treat life with optimism. Of course, such an explanation can't really touch what Su Shi wants to express.
This poem by Su Shi expresses profound meaning in a simple sense. It is a seemingly ordinary but surging word. Although he wrote about the feelings in the rain and the scene in front of him, the feelings in the poet's heart were revealed everywhere between the lines. Ci talks about the philosophy of life from natural phenomena, which is a typical lyric poem of Su Shi.
The opening sentence "Don't listen to the sound of beating leaves in the forest" said that raindrops hit the leaves in the forest and made a noise, indicating that the rain came suddenly and was also a rainstorm. The word "don't listen" also shows that although the poet was caught in the rain on the way, he didn't care at all about the sudden heavy rain.
"Why don't you sing and walk slowly" is an extension of the meaning of this word, which is written in the order of things. This sentence shows that the poet walked on as usual in the rain, and did not show his fragile appearance because he was wet by the rain. The word "why not" even smacks of self-mockery.
The first two sentences are the theme of the whole word, and the situations created in the word are caused by these two sentences, which can be said to have the function of leading the emotion of the whole word.
So the meaning of this word naturally transitions to the next sentence. "Whispering and walking slowly" is the poet's description of his state in the rain. He walked slowly in the rain, singing loudly and saying, "What's so terrible about this?" . The word "who is afraid of who" just shows Su Shi's mood at the moment: broad-minded and optimistic.
"Bamboo shoes are lighter than horses" means sandals, because bamboo shoes are light in weight. However, walking on muddy roads in the rain, especially shoes, will inevitably be slow and bring great inconvenience to walking. It is far from the experience of riding a horse. Then the word "light" between the lines must have another meaning, which is clearly "no official is light." Why do you say that?
It turned out that Su Shi's early life in Huangzhou was not easy. Others' cynicism happened from time to time, and even the most basic life was in trouble. As can be seen from the reply to Li Zhiyi, Su Shi regards all this as something to be congratulated.
Su Shi's mentality seems counterintuitive, because most people are depressed or even depressed in this situation. Su Shi, on the other hand, was uncharacteristic, indicating that Su Shi was a little tired of officialdom at this time, and even expressed boredom and fear of being an official, which led to the idea of inner seclusion.
It is precisely because of this mentality and situation that the lyrics lead to a sentence "I will live in misty rain all my life", which is also a sentence that best reflects Su Shi's inner feelings at this moment.
In fact, misty rain is not about the immediate scene, but about the poet's mind. Combined with the preface "rain gear first, peers make a mess", where is the hemp fiber to wear in the wind and rain at this time? Misty Rain is not about the moderate rain on Hu Sha Road, but about the vast and stormy scene.
In fact, the image of a hermit who lives in seclusion in rivers and lakes and lives a quiet and indifferent life is outlined in A Life of Misty Rain. At this moment, the poet has neither the pursuit of wealth nor the worry about the ups and downs of his official career, so his mind becomes calmer, his mood is more peaceful, and he is immersed in such a rare peace.
This is Su Shi's attitude towards life, and this poem "Misty Rain" also symbolizes the storm of the moment and the storm of life. Ren Pingsheng, on the other hand, means that although he has experienced storms all his life, he has always been calm and optimistic about life. This sentence is a portrayal of Su Shi's life.
Su Shi spent his life in such a humanistic ecology. Even though he was relegated to the distant Lingnan in his later years, he did not show pessimism about life. "Take precautions" is Su Shi's outlook on life.
The next film is the poet's description of the scene and feelings after the rain. The sentence "The chilly spring breeze sobers up, but it is slightly cold, but the hills meet obliquely" depicts an interesting and philosophical picture: on one side, the chilly spring breeze makes the poet feel a little chill; On the one hand, the setting sun shines obliquely on the hill, and the poet feels a little warm at this time.
This is not only writing about scenery, but also expressing the philosophy of life. Isn't that what real life is like? There are cold and warm, bitter and sweet, cold and warm, a glimmer of hope in adversity, and joy in suffering.
"The hills are inclined but meet each other" is a positive reflection of the poet's life, a general view and a spiritual sublimation of Su Shi after the "Wutai Poetry Case" and the ups and downs of his official career.
In fact, the first three sentences of the next film are true, especially when the poet sees that it is sunny after the rain and the sunset shines on his home, the poet reveals a happy mood. This is exactly the same as "Now it's clear, just let it be like this" in the preface.
The words "the hills are oblique but meet each other" were inadvertently written by the poet, but they are the finishing touch. Without this "it has cleared up", he wouldn't have to write this word. Write sunny days, still holding the original wind and rain. How does he feel about rain and clearing up along the way? These are the next few words: "Looking back at the bleak place, rain or shine." Bleak means the sound of wind and rain.
At this time, it has cleared up, and the poet recalled the wind and rain he experienced in Hu Sha Road, and his heart was of course filled with emotion. He has long been used to the ups and downs of nature, but in his official career, it is difficult to predict when the storm will suddenly strike.
Su Shi thought more deeply here. He said it was best not to rain. Without wind and rain, there is no need to expect sunshine, happiness and sunshine. This is the true meaning of "no wind and rain, no sunshine". How can we achieve the realm of "rain or shine" in official career? Su Shi also gave the answer, that is, the word "home".
This was originally a sentence in Tao Yuanming's Gui Xi Ci in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, but Su Shi skillfully applied it to his own ci. Su Shi's state of mind at this time has also fully taken care of the broad-minded realm of "sad rain all his life".
Just at the moment, walking on the sand lake road is also walking on the journey of life. How can the journey of life be smooth? Even Su Shi's "life-long worry about rain" today is much better than his unpredictable career as an official. This is the emotion and the meaning of the lyrics that Su Shi wants to express in Dingfeng.
