Erosion includes mechanical erosion and chemical erosion. These are familiar phenomena that we can see every day. The river washes and cuts the riverbed by physical force, and the sediment and stones in the river destroy the valley slopes on both sides of the riverbed by mechanical erosion, while the chemical erosion of the river is only obvious in the soluble rock area.
Handling function: As the name implies, rivers play the role of handling eroded and falling materials.
Sedimentation: After the first two processes, when the river reaches the area with low slope, the flow velocity decreases continuously, which reduces the carrying capacity of the river, and the sediment carried by the river gradually deposits, forming layered alluvial deposition, which is called siltation.
