Two boys arguing about the sun

Confucius traveled east and saw two boys arguing and asked why.

The first boy said: "I used the sun to start the day. People are close when going away, but they are far away when the sun is at noon."

Yi'er said: "The sun is out at the beginning of the day and it is far away, but when the sun is at noon it is close."

Yi'er said: "The sun is out at the beginning of the day and is as big as a chariot. When it reaches the middle of the day, it is like a pan. Isn’t it that the far ones are smaller and the closer ones are bigger?” The middle of the day is like exploring a soup. Isn't it hot for those who are near and cool for those who are far away?"

Confucius couldn't decide.

The two children laughed and said: "Which one is you? (rǔ)How much do you know (zhì)?"
